Greetings, I've just signed up today and I have a few questions that I would like to ask you veterans out there.
What are the advantages/disadvantages of a str/int build?
and.. I've heard about sp farming. Do we need extra funds in order to sp farm or can a completely new character with no support and such sp farm?
What common mistakes do most newbies make and what should I look out for?
Thanks, your help is much appreciated. =)
Newbie question.

Since no-one answered my noob questions, I thought I'd break the trend and help how I can.
Str builds will have high HP & physical dmg with less magical damage potential, they are ideal if you plan on wearing garments or protector. You soak up dmg whilst dealing it consistently.
Int builds will have less HP & high magical dmg, not using a shield or armour/protector as an int char will surely result in a swift death. At higher levels, your nukes will one-hit almost anything.
SP farming is all about levelling your skills as high as possible. This is best done early in the game. the idea is to keep a large gap (maximum 9 levels) between your level and your highest skill mastery, allowing for maximum SP/kill return. The serious farmer will need powerful weapons/items to survive the experience as his/her skills alone will not kill their farm animals easily. No new account will effectively farm enough SP to make the effort worthwhile, a minimum of 2mill cash will probably buy a weapon & 1 or 2 lvl 16 items powerful enough for the job. That said, farming is entirely possible by simply keeping a moderate gap, bear in mind that trying to farm past lvl 16 becomes very hard.
Common mistakes include not taking every quest possible, most players will help you find the appropriate NPCs.
Do not hang around near crossroads, ferries, or outside gates as traders on the run from their NPC thieves will dump them here without a second thought, any NPC thief will kill almost any 1-20 char.
Press T ingame and setup yr autopotions, 50% HP & 25% MP is usually good. Time spent sitting down recovering MP/HP is largely time wasted, always be killing. Try to carry as much HP & MP recovery items (& arrows for archers) as you will need until yr weapon starts to break, 250 HP should be enough, 300 MP is probably minimum.
If you die, try to wait/ask for a rez before choosing to rez in town as you will receive some of your lost xp back from a player rez.
Setting up stall and selling random items is probably wasted time unless you are afk/asleep. Place all quality items you are not using in storage for sale when you are afk, sell non+/blue & low block/critical items to NPCs.
I think that covers just about everything, hope it helps...enjoy the Road
PS As a noob player, i made the mistake of changing servers when others were full, just so i could play. Pick one server and stick with it, time playing on other servers is wasted as the max 3 characters you can have on one can all use the same storage, I have just deleted 2 of my noob builds, but not before unequipping, selling, & dumping all their cash into storage for my best char to use.

No need to make us sound like assh0les. I just havent replied to this thread because I just found it. There is one main differance between STR and INT. STR is for PvP (Player vs. Player) while INT is for PvE (Player vs. Enemy(Computer Monsters)). SP farming is a long and tedius procedure which can cost a lot of gold as you will need a lot of pots in order to grind for the long ammount of time. A common mistake most people make is to start their job at level 20. As much as the game says 1* traders are "safe" you are not. So just wait until around 25ish that way you can at least kill the mobs such as earth ghosts. Also, for thieves and hunters it is pretty pointless to try it at that level. A higher level will just wreck you as you are just out of the beginner stage.
