Hi guys, me and HyorunmarouZ have discovered how to edit your skills and change what they look like. I think we'll have a guide coming soon.

Here's a pic of Extreme fire force changed to look like soul fire force:



Soon I'll work on how to edit the little square that says "Extreme Fire Force" and change it to look like Soul Fire Force.

sure - no problem! You made that really nice meteor shower so yea. I guess. just give hyorunmaruz your xfire account if you have one or IM me at thefieryflamingo - this is an AOL Instant Messenger account.

But yeah, we're working on other stuff, like making regular fire guard turn into power fire guard and stuff like that - and flow piercing force.

So pretty much to make it look like you have a pimped out high lvl (except low lvl haha) account

thanks - glad you guys liked. it was my idea and then me and him executed it together - so yea - it was teamwork!!

i'll write a quick tut soon.. once i get some time.

EDIT: well - as we speak i'm working on the tut - so be prepared. i'll teach you guys how to change any imbue into the best imbue i guess. sound good? i'll also work on stuff like fire protection and ice protection.

UPDATE: ok guys, i'm working on editing the simple fire protection into hard fire protection (and changing in-game symbol - .ddj file) and simple ice protection into the best ice protection - so stay tuned. i'll be testing it later and if it works thats awesome. i've already tested and the game doesn't crash before i log on (sometimes it will give you an error if you edit some .pk2 wrong or something)which is a good sign. wish me luck. i'll be working on it and once i get everything - i'll translate all these weird korean (i think) words that these files are made up of into english... for example - ganggi = fire or ice protection - that is if you are looking in you skilleffect.txt. - there's a hint - so work from it.

change a spear chain to look like a sword chain or vice versa and that'll be hot. would look weird, but still XD

great idea - it's definitely possible!

but I would start with something easy like i'm going to write about in this tutorial. and then go to changing blade combos to what you want.

i learned .pk2 editing like 3-4 days ago and if you just look through the files and stuff - you'll get better.

just keep testing! - remember to keep backup of media.pk2

Ok guys i will write the tutorial... i'm lazy for some stuff but this things are so sweet to do that i can make it very detailed, though it will take time.

It's easy you just need to get XVI32 it should be enough for all this edits, if you want the easy way... there's another one more complicated, if you want to know it after the tutorial is finished pm us. I'll just tell you that has something to do with the mob replacements ( the way they are done not the mobs themselves).



And about the chains for spears and swords, i'm working on it, after we do the Particle ones (Imbues and buffs) we'll do another for weapon skills.

yup - since hyorunmarouz is really good with .pk2 as am i, i'll be doing the imbues and he'll be doing the combos i guess. later i'll be testing the imbues and protection and buffs and stuff. and if it works - i'll write tut (even though I should be lvling up) right away - as it is fresh on my mind.

me and hyorunmarouz are working together to solve many of the .pk2 mysteries and have solved them numerous ways - so our tuts may differ - or we may compile them into one.

can you change it some way that like the 3rd fire imbue book looks like the 4th ice imbue book...cuz that one is really nice =)

Of course... i wouldn't have known pk2 edit without him... and i understand now why he didn't share his edits... some of them are complicated to explain and not any person can understand them, it's hard to make a guide, maybe that's why he kept his findings... except for showoff

Of course, if you can change the first book into the fourth, why couln't you change any other. You could change the 4th into the 1st, but i don't see the fun in that...

yeah but 3rd fire into 4th ice...cuz with the weps or clothes didnt work right...like 7th armor in 8th garm or something ^^

Keep the size --> keep the change

It's as easy as copying and pasting, change the whole entry of ice instead of only a letter, and switch the fire one with the ice.

i figured out how to edit skills by myself when i 1st saw cruor switch heaven chain to shura =P.

but i wanna see how you guys do it.

It's pretty easy actually... i just did a guide about it, though it might not be extremely complete, but it's fairly good i guess.

I'M so sorry guys, I was going to work on the tut last night and I fell asleep by accident... I was actually hoping to do the tut, lvl up, test HyorunmarouZ's tut, and some other stuff. None of that was completed.
