Are wolfs really worth it? I was talking to someone higher level than me and he said that pets were more of an inefficiency than being beneficial.

I think there very much worth it, its like a mini you helping to kill mobs, im level 23 and my wolf is level 21 and soon he will be my level

the only problem with wolfs is... iv now ressed my pet from the dead 6 times now

they are defintly useful i just got 1 and its great i dunno how they go at high lvls but at low they are awsome

ps if u have monkey aswell would make the ultimate combination but i dont have one...

I'd get a wolf. You can always use the extra damage. It also lets you draw enemies away from yourself or attack enemies without having to run up to them.

I'd say get one...
Because:
This is a situation that happens to me very often.
I'm in an aggro area and I see a giant. (With nobody attacking!)
I zerk and attack...sometimes, the other monsters jump in and attack me.
I just let the wolf attack that monster or let my splash damage take effect.
For people who say their wolfs keep dieing:
Bring pots with you...I've been bringing 100 xlarge pots (now its 50 because I'm broke) and I rarely use them since the wolfs regenerate health faster than SRO characters.

Wolfs are OK...for int's they are the extra tanker you need so much...for str's some extra damage...obody can say no to that, especially bladers, who can compete with their wolf in doing the lowest damage :D

with normal weapon you do way lower dmg than ur dog.

a wolf means extra damage, so tell me, how can that not be worth it?

I'd say wolfs are worth it. They provide extra damage and can take damage for you.

if you have the money, go buy a wolf

if you dont make alot of money, your better off w/o a wolf

but overall.. a wolf is worth it

For a str/hybrid char a wolf if worth it. For a pure int nuker above 30 I would say no. When I had my lvl 36 wolf my nukes would kill any monsters before my wolf even got close enough to hit. So basically I was just wasting money on hgp pots/pet hp pots with no benefit.
