Hi guys..

have a question for a pro alchemist. Can someone make a guide on what will be lost if an alchemy item fails?

I mean.. if i want to combine my weapon with for example an int stone, can it lose the +? will it lose the % of the weapons stats? and is there a break possibility?

- or will the item just get the blue stats like it should?

same on when combining with for example an attack rating stone, elixirs.. what happens to other stats and when will the item break and be lost?

Thnx in advance =)

and sry for the crappy sentences its early in the mornin here >_<

Using stones you cannot lose +ing.

Successful stones may change other stats on the weapon/item, the chance of this happening depend on the assimilation % of the stone (the % range from 5%-35%).

Jade Stones (stones that add blues) can change white and blue attributes as can Ruby Stones (stones that change white attributes).

Weapons can't break while adding stones.

When +ing weapons, weapons can break or red dura(reduce) stat added. These can be prevented by using immortal and steady respectively. These can only occur after +4 (steady might be going from +3 to +4 never had it happen to be personally though). But cannot change blues/white attributes on weapons.

Any more questions just holla :D

I will add something to what StealMySoda said.

While adding a magic stone (obviously the green ones) u have

a. A chance that the stone works and u get the blue attribute on ur weapon/equip/accesory. You might get only str1 increase (if its a str stone) or u might get the full str increase depending on ur items degree.

b. The stone fails. Nothing will happen to ur item, just the stone fails

c. The stone works but the stat u wanted to change remains the same (includes both magic and attribute stones) and u have a chance of getting assimilation on an attribute.

d. The stone works but brings down the stat u wanted to improve

e. The stone works but brings down the stat u wanted to improve AND messes up another stat (oh yeah thats me :banghead: )

Every time a stone works, there is a chance it will change another attribute on ur item through assimilation. The stones with 5% or 35% assimilation can only be obtained from a destroyed item (using destroy rondo to break items).

Creating a stone using tab and elements can give u stones with attribute assimilation 10-20-30%.

Now, if assimilation occurs when the stone works, it doesnt mean that it will bring down a white/blue stat. Sometimes it makes a stat go up (happened to me 2 times) but most of the times i get zeroes ^^

Always remember than if u gonna go past +3 on an item, pour steady and immortal if u dont want to loose it. After +5 if u get a fail , both astral and immortal can dissapear, or astral and steady.

Adding to the original question,
When v + a tablet for attack power (i dont remember te name of the tablet), can tis make the Attack Rate go down :? :?

For Instance, if my attack rate is 35% and i use the stone for attack ... can tis make the attack rate to 0% ???

Appreciate all ur responses 8)

Yes it can drop to the lowest % possible (if blues are on it it can not disappear anymore but it can change)
However you can change both the blue attackrating (strikes) and the white attack rating (focus) until they are good in %'s.

Are all the attributes subject to change ? Can, Crit, per example change because of the assimiliation ?
