As far as i determine the term. Its cultivating alot of skill points and not spending them, thus having alot at a later part of the game when bigger, sronger skills are available.

How its done. Kill lots of stuff and never upgrade your skills.

the max distance between characther lvl and sp lvl is 9. it will take you a very long time to lvl in such a case. but you'll have a ton of sp. the plan is like ziggy said to save them up. in doing so you'll create a large stash so you can then unload them all at once and be like BAM. or when you get into higher lvls it pays off because you'll have up to date skills as they become available. it's a technique for the patient or those that would like to think they are.

i found an archer sp farming with a seal of sun bow at the bandits den. popped them all off like a proximity turret. The sp he was getting wasnt fantastic however at the rate he was killing them (1 hit ko) the points were supposedly accumulating nicely.

Had no idea how long he had been doing it but lvl 16 with 3k sp is kinda impressive. Providing he was telling the truth anyway

Yeah cuz you need at least some magic and a weapon skill, so you'd upgrade to level 5 and not upgrade again until level 14, then you'd just upgrade each level once per level to keep the 9 level distance. Like he said it would take ages lol

Apparently the top korean players get 30,000 sp then they start playing, that would take way too long though

Um, in your post above.

WHAT does SOS or SOM weapons have anything to do with farming your skill points?

I kill monsters.

I get skill experience.

I get SP.

Do tell what this illusion is.

I believe it's because Seal weapons are more powerful, you don't need to rely on skills to be able to effectively kill mobs.

Ahhh yes.

My SOS bow does 20P/30M more than bows I cannot wear yet. Pretty nice stuff.

We all have stupid questions, and we all have ideas no one else likes.

Hell, so much talk of SOS being SP farming weapons, I was almost convinced they GIVE you more SP

I scoure the stats of the weapons last night trying to figgure it out - LOL

Didn't know it was a 'conceptual' kind of idea....heh

what doing with 30k sp? push spells, yes, but how many trees? are there any examples?

by Ziggy
one would hope that a magnitude of points like that would have you set for the rest of the game based on the fact that as you lvl more and more you still accumulate the points thus partaking in as many trees as you deem fit

300 mastery-lvls is maximum, isnt it? (is it maxlvl*5 or just 300?)

so 5 "full" trees are possible, right?

What I do is when I feel tired of leveling, I go to a spawn like the bandit archers in the fortress and hunt for items. The giants spawn rather quickly and usually drop an item. While I am not getting a lot of exp, I'm raining SP with every kill, so by the time I do level, I have like 50-150 SP to dish out to my skills. I'm up to my level with all the skills in Force, Spear, and Lightning with SP left over. Not to mention the occasional SoX drop..

Where-the place with the highest level monster you can comfortably kill in 2-3 hits with imbue. EG. My non-SoS'd farmer is currently lvl 16 and farming Yeoha. While it's not as high SP as bandit archers in the den, there is almost no chance that I'll die (barring an unlucky theif chasing me when i'm not looking or Tiger Girl spawning on me) and the rate at which i kill the yeoha is MUCH faster than bandit archers (2-3 hits depending on damage) Plus when I eventually run out of arrows and my sword breaks, I can walk to town in about 60 seconds rather than waste a returning scroll or a horse.

Also, no KSers running around turning 200 SP into 20.

Got a question that im not sure anyone has answered...

the difference in skills and lvls...

when you're looking at skill points... are u looking at the "total mastery lvl"? or is it counting individual levels?

for example, if i have 7 lightning mastery, and say 5 heukai(?) mastery... and i am lvl 12. does that then mean the difference is 5? does the 7 and 5 add up to yield 12, and therefore there's no difference in mastery?

Posted: Fri Feb 17, 2006 1:33 pm
by Bakemaster
The difference is 5. You count the single highest mastery level.
