Elements from Items

I know there is a database for Alchemical Materials, but items can be split into elements too. Is there a database for items? This might sound stupid because items are for wearing, but when I'm in a rush to find elements I buy cheap items and destroy them. Higher degree items sure give a lot of elements!
I was thinking of buying items from vendors, destroy them for elements and record the results. Has anyone done anything like this?

There is no database for that because its random.
When you destroy an item it gives 2x elements of the same degree of the item and 2x elements of one degree lower.

Is the element amount obtained also random? Or is it a fixed amount for each item/degree?

I noticed that the total amount of elements gained is not totally random, but I can not give you any specific numbers. I think its almost fixed (it differs but not by much) per item and degree.

number of elements is random, the type of elements is also random
thought of a loophole to get tons of elements, but those koreans, let me tell, thought of everything

I made money this way xD
I bought some destroyer rondos and went to the Jangan weapon/clothing stores. I bought level 8 bows, glavies, and spears, and level 13 chestplates and pants. If you're lucky, you can get 5 - 7 wind 2 elements per item destruction. It's not 100%, but you can usually turn a small profit. (I managed to make around 150k off this, up to you to decide whether it's worth it or not)

with the prices of wind 2 stabilized around 2k ea the answer is maybe. If you can find good deals on 3rd degree stuff it would be worth it. People still need fire 2 as well.
4th degree will probabaly be better as the price of wind 4 is still nuts 2-3k per (or more).
Both wind 2 and wind 4 are needed for 8th degree alchemy in large quantities.

Wind lvl 2 mostly in STR stones (all str stones all lvls) only *Most wanted stone, highest price too of each degree, next to luck stones*
Wind lvl 4 in a lot more stones. (8d then)
A lot of 3rd degree is used is 6d and 7d stones. So it all depends who you are going to sell it to. Fire 2 is mostly used for INT stones.

its not really random but more of approximation. for wind 2 elements on items. i usually destroy deg2 items(lvl of item that are close to deg3). i usually get a good deal of wind2 elements by destroying those.

When I deleted some 7th degree item drops, I got winf7/6 and water 7/6, about 150 units per item.
