no there is no way to change it. and I dont know what you are talking about with the "after you log in" thing

Well, that feature on the personal info page has it ties within the forum part of the site.
Take a look at the forums, and you'll notice that the posters name shows up as (for example) (Xian)jack2 <--(server)In-game name.
When you click this, you can change to a different character you have in game.
Eg: You have a character on Babel, called 'jack8' (example)
You also have a character on Xian, called 'Jack9'
Clicking the 'change character name' link, you can cycle through the servers and pick your different characters so that you can use that identity to post with on the forums.

oh....so u cant change ur ign, but u can change ur forum name?
