How not to get scammed

I still see a lot of ppl getting scammed. Legit ppl shouldnt have to deal with that. Here my short, easy tut on how not to get scammed.
You get scammed for one of three reasons: impatience, ignorance or greed.
1. If it seems like a deal too good to be true, it is. No one is dumb enough to sell weapon elixirs for 30K. The bait and price change trick is so noob.
2. Accept a trade slowly, check the item, push accept, check again, push accept. Dont spam the accept button. If possible, use stall instead and again, go slowly, check.
3. Dont pass around SOS weapons. Keep that SOS equiped till you no longer need it.
4. Only lend out an SOS you are willing to lose.
Keep these things in mind and you wont get scammed.

I'd like to add don't accept any random party invites/exchanges from people you don't know.
edit
But that has more to do with getting hacked then scammed.

stating the obvious also, dont try and boost your account by "lending it to some random person" (be it your friend in reallife or a friend on SRO) so they will train your person, chances are they will delete your account or will try and get you ban.

Uh only a moron would agree to let someone "train their accnt"
Lol, I scammed some moron botter back when the bot went p2u. I told him I would bot his accnt for him, and he gave me the info and I cleaned out his accnt.

How could accepting a random party invite get you hacked? Or even a random exchange?

Doing exchange gold <=> item(s) trough stall is a more safe way to.
about the party req thing, from my old mmorpg i heard that they can get your IP trough pm/party req/exchange with a program. i've no idea if it s true or not and can't give a detailed explanation. maybe it s just rumor but it can be possible also... party req in town sounds weird since theire is party match anyway.

I bought a LVL32 SoS Glavie for 150k. It was too good to be true, but it was.

Guys.. the whole party dilemma is because of they tell you to make a share item party and then tell you to drop your weapon and pick it up and it will be sosun or whatever. But as you all know, they have a 50% chance of picking up that item if they are in the same party and area as you.

another kinda lame scam:
offering people money for stuff (gear/char) if they give their paypal account
Paypal will block your account after a drawback and probably the last "legit"transfers you did if those were directed to Joymax your account will be blocked.

No that is a newer scam method. The thing they are talking about is before that. That they can/could retrive information by joining you to a party. Then hack you.
(Don't know if it's true or not but when i play i dont accept party's from random lvl 1-20's)

Thats just plain stupid. You have a bigger chanced of being hacked by using a forum about the game then in game trading.. come on now...

Now that's just sad... a botter that's, not only too lazy to actually play the game, but a botter that's too lazy to even bot his character himself. Botters are just lazy.
Thanks for the info nightbloom. All it takes is a little common sense and patience.
