Pure Healer

thought it would be good to put it in the guide section.. not one of those cookie cutter builds :)

The Healer Build
This is the healer, the pure talking and walking flesh of sanctuary. Just don’t be fooled be the heals, this build can pack a punch with the cold series to freeze you in your tracks and the bow’s hawk to crush you. Of course if you get through all that I doubt you’ll do much damage especially with crystal wall in effect.

(Credit to DSX for help with this build)

Build Name:
Saint, Messiah, or The Pure Cold Heart

Stats:
Pure INT (I wouldn’t suggest hybrid for this build)

Gear:
Weapon – Bow (You can go Sword + Shield if you want to be a Holy Knight but realize that crystal wall will be kinda useless)
Clothes – Garment (Armor for some situations)

Skills:

Force Mastery

Heal – Max the whole series
(This is what makes you the savior and self heal is really unnecessary when you have this)

Soul Rebirth – Max the whole series
(Healer build is just not complete without the ability to resurrect)

Harmony Therapy – Max the whole series
(You’ll want this maxed for your parties or anything with a group and always helps when soloing)

Vital Spot muscle – Max the whole series
(Now this is where we get to skills that are more offensive to the monster and will help out a lot, as well as vital spirit in making the monster weaker)

Force Increasing – Max

Extra Mp – lvl10: 102, lvl20: 197, lvl30: 329, lvl40: 509

(As a pure INT character you’ll still want this maxed, it only helps)

Ice Mastery

Ice River Force – Max the whole series
(This is your main skill for fighting)

Weak Guard – Max the whole series
(More defense? Yes please)

Crystal Wall – Max the whole series
(With high MP, using crystal wall will take a while before you die)

Frost Nova Wind – Max the whole series
(For sticky situations)

Snow Storm-Ice Shot - Max Book 1 (Max whole series is optional)
(This is good to have as an extra attack, second book is good if you go all the way.. AOE :D)

Cold Armor – Max the whole series
(Can you say, more DEF please?)

Pacheon Mastery

Anti Devil bow – Max the whole series
(Good to have as a basic skill to go with your imbue)

Black Hawk Summon – Max just this book
(You’ll want this as a sidekick for extra power)

Strong Bow – Max Whole Series
(It's usually a main attack for most)

Mind Concentration – Max the whole series

Attack Ratio – lvl10: 9, lvl20: 13, lvl30: 17, lvl40: 21
(It’s nice to get the extra attack)

As a healer you’ll still want some good attacks and with this skill list you can probably already think of the combo.

Comments:
Good support in both defense and offense. You’ll have the full support anyone would want and a good freeze to stop things in your way, but if it fails you always have crystal wall for protection. This build in a distance is always on the supportive healing, nuking (Strong bow), freezing and decreasing people’s stats. When it came to offensive you have plenty of your cold imbue + devil bow combo, which would have a good chance of slowing them down, plus your bird would come in for an extra hit. If they ever reached you, the crystal wall would stall them.

Overall Effectiveness:
#1 Healer/Support
Good in groups
Strong defensive
Strong INT good on magic defense and hardly run out of mp
Nice simple combo for slowing and killing the enemy

Job Preference:
I would suggest any job would want you, but as a trader if you wore Armor for the trade runs you would be highly useful in keeping your team alive as well as yourself. You could piss people off as a hunter though.

Here is a picture of a similar build (This time it’s from ISRO, not the Asian servers).

cept this is hybrid or more strength. full INT should be better though

Yep, one of the first builds my friend showed me from the korean servers. Which is why I was surprised to find no one used it here. Then again, we don't have some of the harder monsters to fight yet in which people need to group to kill. This means healers are kinda.. pointless for us so far.

Well this is definately the build I am going with. I am going to junk my str/glaive user for it. I like how unique it is and as far as healing goes it's what I ahve done in any mmo I have ever played.

I wander how many SP I will need total at level 70 to do this build.
I'm at the grinding levels and need a figure to come up with.

I would actaully farm with this build to 20k+ SP... just do the lvl 16 with a 9 gap for 1.5 to 2 weeks... around 1-1.75k SP a day and you should be able to do the rest of the game with a 3-4 level difference.

if you wanted max SP though, so the 9 level difference for 2 weeks, 2k SP a day. That should leave you with a lot :)... and its not too hard to do it.
Hell, if you have a gold scroll, just do 9 level diff for 1 week and you'll be set :P

Woot thanks. I've been looking for an excuse to buy a scroll and now I think I have one.

just remember to get 4k sp a day when you use it instead of 2 and you'll be fine :)

Oh yes I plan on it. Once my grinding is done I can use the rest of the scroll to plevel up as high as possible.

That makes me very very......happy....

I am really enjoying this game and i'm just playing it instead of concentrateing on grinding. Between this and anarachy online I have my fix for mmo's covered.

i am wondering whether i should use bow or sword?

bow sounds good but the arrows filling up my slots is crazy

if i go power leveling, i will fill up like 15 slots of arrows

this is way too crazy but bow seems better than sword

sword is good as well but it takes away the ranged affect of this build.

Usually 2250 (two rows of arrows + 250 equipped) will last about the same as 50 pots with this build, pure INT, autopotting. At least that's what I can tell from my grindings (and I've been grinding for the past 96 hours)

on my current nuker i fill up 12 slots with pots (6 hp/ 6 mp)

while using this healer build, my inventory will basically be full

unless i don't need that many pots

i usually grind for a few hours

but i think i will do bow despite the lack of inventory space -_-

don't understand the relevance of the two posts above me

^ haha its cuz theres an option to use sword shield with this build.. whichc is fine.

sword shield has more defense than the bow, but you'll be getting down to the nitty gritty, which is not recommended for a int char.. unless maybe you have like a full SOS set or something

Monition wrote:don't understand the relevance of the two posts above me
thecatalyst inquired whether he should use a sword and shield or a bow, adding that a bow would mean filling up several inventory slots with arrows, plus the usual inventory slots for pots, meaning hardly any space for drops. I, being an Ice Healer Archer myself, replied that from my experience, only about two rows of arrows (that is, 8 slots) are needed per every 50HP/MP pots (that is, each time you'd go repotting), with a pure INT build.

ah... i see

well i might add... if you have a monkey... no worries for arrows :D

i duno why'd you only have 50 pots though.

i carry 400 MP and 200 HP everytime igo grind
