question about dlvling mastery

i am going to be farming at penons, i am euro, so for me to have 9 lvl gap and farm there i need to have lvl 45 mastery and then i'll be 9 lvl gap at lvl 54, so ok i was thinkin at lvl 45 mastery i will keep lvling up till im lvl 54 and not add any skills, bad idea? and then i will dlvl the mastery down to 45 when i hit 54, but my main thing is can i keep the new armour? like if i dlvl can i keep the new armour that i have on?

ur armor won't be usable anymore, u'll still have the impression ur wearing it but it won't have any effect anymore.
Better keep ur armor of lvl45 and below on storage and be ready to wear it again when u dlvl ur mastery
