Nice guide. Makes me wanna make a hybrid bow char

To all the people that are gonna read this guide, it's mean to say:

Less Defense than a Blader
Cbf fixing it =[

Guide is pretty nice and neat looking. If i was to go with ur build tho (on a full str) personally i'd take off a tiny bit of light for immunity, since the difference between 89 light and 100 light is barely noticeable (for hybrids it's different cos of the higher imbue damage)

well the unawareness of wut ur talking about 50% of the time is highly noticeable

I am going to make a new bow char right now I actually was stopped playing silkroad but now i miss bow chars so much

The question is where should i make it..... If anybody got a server where i can join a guild and maybe get some power-party help to get over the first boring lvls then please send me a pm.

good guide, just pvp strategies are kinda poor. spammin kb and strong bow wont get u the victory

However, spamming KB and strongbow won't kill anyone but a wizard/bard with bad gear...also for your stats you added 77 str and 77 int, it is still 66 of each in 10 degree. I'm also going to dispute your pick of 100 pach/light/ice for a 85% hybrid, 100 pach/fire with some mix of light+ice would be a better option for that type of hybrid imo. Not trying to be mean, just trying to throw in some alternative input for the "noobs".

Actually, 72 int and 72 str. And I would choose 100 Light over 100 Fire for a hybrid because that magical attack increase makes a HUGE difference. And I mean HUGE. But that's just a personal opinion, you could play around with that build.

Hi, im a lvl 91 glavie player, but ive put 22 stats on int , its better to stay on glavie or should i skill to bow? what about the next lvls? int or str?

Stick with glavie, 22 int won't hurt much at all, just finish the last 9 levels str. Or if you feel experimental you could finish the last 9 levels int and be an str based hybrid, you could use a higher snow shield and you'd see a little jump in damage. Then tell us how it worked out, but if you want to stay safe, just finish out with str.

hunter job is probably better than thief i think

theif you cant just kb, you have to pick up loot too and defend against more than 1 person normally

as hunter, you can kb until trader escapes, no need to actually kill theif, more likely to face 1 theif (as opposed to theif facing just 1 trader only without hunter)

but yeah constant kb is good for team fighting, if it is solo then kb is good to by time, which for theif is only good if you are trying to teleport not to get away since you're stuck in place while you kb also

I dun think fire wall (for the 1st build) and ice all (for the 2nd) are optional. any decent pvp strategy demands one of em, dependin on what kind of bow u are.

i dont actually think crits change from hybrid to pure str, i rememeber there was a test before between pure int and pure str and hybrid crits, they are all basically the same

str saw higher change from normal value, ints saw small change, but the end result of crit was about same damage
reason crits seem to hit harder on people is they normally use garm so it hurts int crits more because of higher mag def

A crit about doubles whatever phys damage you were doing. So as an example, an str that hit 5k phys 2k mag = 7k would go 10k phys 2k mag = 12k on a crit. An int that hit 2k phys 6.5k mag = 8.5k would go 4k phys 6.5k mag = 10.5k...str's hit higher crits.

yeah but int damage is naturally higher, so crits from both are same :S

mine will end with 83% phy.bal but well, almost the same.

now, 100 fire 80 light 20 cold or 100 light 100 cold, cant be that hard to decide, right? damn.

im confused about pure str bower. You said in the guide to max out snow shield skill which is impossible. lvl20 cold can only allow lvl 1 snow shield. is lvl 1 snow shield enough?

Pure Str Bow only needs lvl 1 snow shield. It says 20 Ice, and what I mean is max it to lvl 20, which is lvl 1 =] That's why I wrote not required for all the other skills, because let's face it at lvl 100 an extra 10 physical defense isn't going to help - at all

but how about a hybrid that isn't too reliant on snow sheild? what balance would be good?

currently im lvl 56 pure str bow on SJSRO, so there is no snow sheild =(.

i was thinking about going with 90% phy balance, but would like some feedback on that.

Not a bad guide, but...its a bit brief. For example, under the Tips on how to PvP section, "Spam KB and Strongbow and the Anti Devil series and you will win". Well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out, oh btw, you missed Explosion Arrow. Also, the descriptions on the buffs are pretty brief, for example for the Mag Defence buff you wrote "Gives Magical Defence". Well..duuuh!

Anywayz, not a bad guide but you could have added a little more such as screenshots, and tips on how to PvP, PvE, Job, Group Wars etc.

Thanks for the advice. I'm definitely going to update the PvP section, and as you said I'm gonna add a few screenies in there.
