[GUIDE] The COMPLETE STR GLAVIE Guide, UPDATED AGAIN!!!

First - thanks for the guide - made me want to go back to my glavier.

I am definately a newb, so take my comments as a fresh view on the game. And don't flame me for not playing "like I am supposed to". I play for fun - not to reach lvl 80 in a hurry and own at pvp.

First off I wonder what the benefits are of using lots of potions (meaning spending lots of money), in return for killing stronger monsters compared to fighting monsters a level or two lower and only using potions im emergencies.

It must mean slower leveling, but more cash? At lvl 18 I'm fighting lvl 15s (Polyphemos in euro). I can take them solo with my wizard and even take on a party-variant once in a while. It doesn't cost me any potions, so I don't have to run back to town all the time.

Most "serious" players seem to use lots of potions all the time, but is it the only way to go?

In my opinoon they're are two ways to play on a lvl bassis
1.always fight 2-5 lvls above you using a hp pot & 2 mp pot per monster.
it lvls you fast but unless you have lots of money to pay for the pots than it is worthless
to you.

2. fight 4-6 lvls lower (green mobs) much higher rate of drops, you get amazing drops
if lucky maybe even SOx ( but i do remind VERY rare) and maybe get .03% per mob and only
maybe spend a mp pot every 4 monsters.

In my own opinion i prefere the Green Mob way, not only is it less expensive but the less exp
is made up by the amount of pots you need to use per mob.

ex. you're lvl 37 fighting lvl 40 you use atelast 2 hp pots since you're Int and maybe 1 mp pot
you gain .07% (if you have any type of gap)

or you fight 4 lvl 31-33 mobs use the same amount of pots.. but you get lets say .3 per kill
so you get .12% which may be a slower way but you still get alot more.

and as i stated in my opinion I've had two chars that i tried in the last three months
both around lvl 31-33 get a SOS item.

i guess my long speech is to simply say it is your choice, but in my own opinion green mobs are your best friend. you just need more patience.

It also depends on your gap.

At lvl 30 I was at 5 gap I was getting 0.035 exp per lvl 30 mob... if I went to green mobs I'd get less than 0.02 exp.

dude like 0.03 is so annoying already, that's I strongly recommend farming at lvl 32 or 42, but not at 16 if it's your first character.

-Pure strength bow:
Their attacks are slow, you can easily stop skills such as strong bow attack if you manage to stun or knock back them before they attack you, if you don't, just keep hitting them as high as you can. They have slightly less Hp that you and as much defense as you. Beware though, they can hit pretty high as well, just not as often as you.

I think pure str bows will crit even more then glavies, think about the Anti devil bow series, and the Hawks series

Bows are just as bad as any int build for glavies.
I would say they're faster, hit higher crits but thier regular damage is lower than that of a glavie. but abotu the Crit, i'd say also depends on the weapons suppose they both had a
Crit 11 (godly i know) i would still beat the bow would get more crits.

I've seen str glavie vs str bow fights. They had same level and weapons, 7D SoS stuff. The bow was hitting 13k critical with anti devil bow, the glavier was hitting the same with soul departs 3rd book.

I call it the strength nuke because it's like a nuke but as a weapon skill instead of a force skill... also very useful after lvl 31 heuksal because you'll be able to 1 hit kill at long range, just like bow or nukes.

i am an experienced glavier, and fighting mobs at my level, it is quite impossible to 1 hit them with a flying dragon. the damage is lower than a soul spear, and that only 1 hits like light blue mobs

Dude I mean with a good critical... like soul spear doesn't 1 hit without critical neither, and if your glavie sucks it won't 1 hit critical.

Maybe with a 0-2 gap and a +5~ weapon, but anything else and it's almost a guarantee you won't one-hit. Also depends on what mob you're fighting..blues..etc.

in PvP fanning series is your savior, fighting a nuker you'll get pwnt even with 30k hp. i would strongly recomend getting fanning series, atelast the magical defense portion of it.

for chains many glaviers say that they're useless in pvp because they're to slow especially for a glavier & don't do anywhere near enough damage.

Well builed up good layout
i got a pure str bow lvl 76 gonna switch to glavie now

i got a +5 bow full +4 and +5 last tier set with very nice blues..
Ok, your still lvl 25 and that says alot about some of your comments like a nuker killing you 1 hit ? maybe at lvl 30 if he has sun lol a nuker will never kill a lvl 80 full str glavie with like 21 K HP in 1 hit !

but it can kill it if its nicely farmed and has nice gear like a hybrid spear nuker.. VERY DANGEROUS for str builds THEY HIT YOU SO HARD !!!

bow use to be the int killer .. kinda over now int's starting to pwn atm
But it will Soon be over..

Anyway the reason why im Changing to glavie ?

Bow skills are boring they all look the same glavie has cool moves does good dmg and has more hp and special defence skills . out

heya, im gonna start taking your advice now ( didn't find this guide when i started my pure strength glaive). I was wondering if my character is good, i've got lightning at level 30, fire at level 32, and hesukal at level 38 (i am level 38). Once i have enough skill restoration potions i will be annihilating the annihilating spear series from my set of skills (1st skill maxed, second at 1) what should i put my sp points into?

Hi, im going to make a glavier , getting plevel atm , im getting a 2-3 gap, am i going to run out of sp? I was wondering about the force's i should take. The classic one is fire/lightning/ice. But i was thinking about something like, Fire main, for lightning the parry buffs and speed,and finally force (vital spot pvp thingy ) . What do you think ? Is it pointful ? Or with this gap i should go for fire/lightning only?

Level 40 - 80: In these levels nothing special will happen. You'll get more books of the skills you already have, but nothing more than that. At these levels you will keep doing the same skills.

you are going to use previous books to then, i personaly think you should have gained more knowledgde about glaviers cause making a guide about a build on lvl 30-40 aint really smart.

You explain things well, you tell your own opinion.

But we are in ISRO on the Lv90 CAP and in some other SRO Versions we have the Lv100 CAP
So maybe u can update that.

so i doubt he had sos weapon >.>
he said he was pure int.

Mistakes:

. bladers and warriors should not be avoided. u can learn a lot by fightin em. hardest builds, but way far from invencibility
. s/s hybrids ARE NOT easy kills. harder than pure nukers.
. Nukers cant 1 hit you, unless u suck nuts. Also, pvp em inst based on luck. same for wizards.

there are a few more, but not that important. good guide, but u need some extra experience on pvp and grinding at higher lvls.
