I believe this is true and I'm wondering who has the same experience with it.
I added STR and INT, HP and MP on my chest, and all of it was between 70-100% on the first try.
Then it failed twice on making it +1... :?

It seems luck also depends on time of day. I had tried to +4 a 5D staff and failed about 8-9 times during the weeks. Then one nite I managed to get it done without much elixirs and was very surprised. So I thought let me try another weapon and voila it +4 also very quickly.

Then another time I was adding blues on my event character's gear and like 9 out of 10 stones worked that night and gave very good result on all 6 robe items. Same character different day and failure was 50% and blues probability was 1/2 of that.

I'm thinking maybe character's birth time or day of the week in Silkroad time maybe a factor (new theory).

You teleport to Constantinople and walk to the Temple of Jupiter.
You need to be in an autoshare party so your friend can keep the lions off of you.
At the base of the god of Zeus statue, you strip yourself of all armor and kneel (make sure you have the large pots and set it to autopot, this is very crucial or you may die.)
Start reciting into your chat window... 'Shakalaka' 3 times.
If you are lucky, the statue will come to life, spread it's glutes and drop you an elixir.

That's what I heard, but I prefer the traditional method of using 'stall network' in any town; select 'alchemy' and select 'elixir'. Depending on your server, it will cost 200k-350k for 1 weapon elixir.

Someone please test the above theory and report back.

Hmn it indeed is a nice guide,

------------>>Sorry for the Wall-o-Text<<------------

But i guess Alchemy is also Char sided.

I had a +7 blade tried 8 succeeded (it went from 0>8 instant only i didnt instantly try 8 so it was 7 for a few months).

The same blade went 0>8 4 more times, which i call hell a lucky item. "BUT"

First fail to 9 costed me about 200 elixirs to get it back to +7 (rather fast in my Opinion)
Second (after i had the balls to try again xD) i failed to 8, got it back to 7 within 20 minutes,
1 day later i tryed +8 Which succeeded. instantly tried 9 after, and do a wild guess... it failed.
Within 15 hours it was +8 again, once again failed 9.

Then after about (this is a rough Calculation....) i used over 900 wep elixirs the blade went Back to 8 and once again failed 9.

I dont think an item cant get passed a certain Enhancement level,

i mean when i used the 900 elixirs, it kept failing 1>2 and 4>5.
But i kept on bashing and ended up with a +8 once again.

What i think,
-As soon as you Get for example +5, it instantly is Set if it will Succeed or fail to +6.

-What people ask me allot (seeming im pretty lucky with alchemy),
"Is there a trick in Alchemy?"
i say, Yes. there is 1.
Get Enough Elixirs and lucky powders, that is the One an only trick in alchemy.

-Also i think, lag doesn't give you a bigger chance to fail. Only thing it does to me is, Anoy me. i hate it o need to wait a few seconds to see if it failed yes or no, seeming i wanna keep going to the + thati got in mind (mostly 7 that is =P).

So my conclusion is?

-Get the elixirs and the powders,
And dont be scared to go past 7.
Yes it might fail, But imagine what would happen if it Goes to 8 or eventually even 9.

-Alchemy is mostly just a matter of Gold.

-And above all,

DO NOT i repeat DO NOT,
use astral's,
Why i can hear you think now?

7 out of 10 times it will instantly fail 5 after, So i can suggest. Keep the Silk for Immortals, you can have way more try's to a higher + then =).

*Note*
For people that think i dont know what im talking about on alchemy,
just look KitsuneChan up on Rev6, go to the rome one. You'll see for your self i guess lols.
