maybe its discussed before but i think i had a good idea for sp farmers.
saving up quests and do them later when you reached the 9lvl gap.
i mean as the lvlgap grows you'll get fewer and fewer xp for mobs. but you get constant xp for quests. so lets say your masterys are 9 lvl under your lvl so it will take quite a while to lvl up. but if you accept quests and even get the quest items but only complete the quest by now, you can still get some decent xp. well, you have to finish quests wich are needed to get another qust.
lets say you are lvl10. accept the Sweeping Bandit Archer quest. you finish it at lvl11. then you get Bandit Operation Map wich you finish this at lvl12.
now you accept Sweeping Bandit and only finish it later on when you think the quest-xp would meg most welcome due to the low mob-xp.
ofcourse im not sure this could work, i never farmed sp. but i think sp farmers also like to lvl up so they can get on stronger mobs for a bit more sp :)

yep, i thought so. quest rewards are fixed. i meant, for example the 14500xp for the Sweeping Bandit quest would be nice if you get very little xp for mobs :)

Okay, heres my question. I've been told this is true, and not true.

My conclusion is, its true, except for me.

My masteries were behind, and I had 1600+ skill points.

Mobs my level (33) were giving me 109 skill points.

I spent ALL my skill points.

Mobs still give me 1180 XP, and 109 skill point experience. No change

I was training at flowers with TheMules.

Kennypan is SP farming, and his masteries are behind too. He is near same level.

Mobs give him 680 XP and 248 skill point experience.

APPARENTLY, sp farming works.

Except for me.

Now when I started the game, my brother leveled every mastery and weapon by '1' because it is free. Did this screw it over? Why can I not SP farm like everyone else? There is NO difference in XP and SP rewarded for me.

ok, i've done a lil bit of research on farming, since i like numbers. here's
the basics of what i've come up with. (oh, and i turned off spell check,
deal with it ^^ )

1) SP farming is best done at low levels: the reason for this is multifold.
first, lowlevel mobs are easy to kill, and you can gain levels quickly
anyway, so you get your level gap up quick. another reason is that at low
levels, monsters automatically give you more sxp than exp. think
it's not true? go kill a mangyang with a fresh level 1 noob. you get over
100 sxp and paltry exp. as you gain levels, the ratio drops accordingly,
no matter what your gap is.
as an example, i'll use white tigers. on
level 18, with a 3 level gap, white tigers should give you 304/133 exp/sxp.
on level 19 with the same gap, they give you 313/130. you can see that
the ratio changed, the numbers are 69.6% exp for lvl 18, and 70.7% exp
for lvl 19.

2) monsters give you a different amount of total exp, depending on
your gap. also using white tigers, on level 19 with a 4 level gap,
you gain 269/140. with the 3 level gap(like above), you get 313/130. you
can see at a glance that this is very lopsided. with a gap of 4 you get only
409 total, whereas with a 3-gap, you get 443 total. so what does all this
mean? it means that the lower your gap, the more total exp you get.

3) all monsters give the same ratio for the same level/gap. for instance, if
you get 60.7% exp from a tiger, you'll get the same ratio from a chakji,
yeoha, etc. the only time this changes is if you fight stuff WAY below your
level, because it causes issues with rounding. an example of this is to fight
a mangyang. yep, you'll get 1/1. does this mean their ratio is 50%? no. it
just means the game can't round it off to be more exact. what does this
mean? it means that no monster is technically better for farming, just kill
the highest level monster you can QUICKLY kill.

4) monsters give more total exp when you are on the same level as they
are. of course everyone knows that lower-level monsters give less exp,
but higher level ones do too. the best time to kill monsters is when they
have just turned white, as far as experience per kill goes. however, most
people tend to kill weaker enemies because they can kill more quickly and
less painfully, saving time and money. it's up to you really.

5) SP farming with a nine gap is crazy. as you can see from the stuff i've
recorded, it's a waste of total exp. farming with a lower gap is advisable
though. personally, i used a 5-gap to get a nice collection of SP, then
changed to a 3-gap. the boost is exp is WAY more than the reduction in
sxp. i DO recommend using some kind of gap though, because later on
you'll run out of SP if your masteries are all maxed up. unless you don't
plan on using any skills, it's good to leave at least a couple level's gap.

well, that's about it. i've been writing down numbers since about level 9,
so i'm not just making this stuff up. anybody else get anything different?

Impressive indeed!

Just a little note on 9gap SP farming

I knew about SP farming before I created my char.
Thus, I started sp farming since level 1
I always maintain 9gap or max from lv 1 to 17
It took me about 4days or so to get to lv 17
Result: close to 5k sp (I spend very little on my skills and mastery)

My opinion, seeing how most char's only have hundreds to 1or2k SP, I'd say just suffer for 4days, and maybe maintain 4-5 gap thereafter. I cant really say that 5k SP would last for good, but I'm pretty sure it's much quicker to farm SP that way (than wait till higher level and farm)

On a side note, I managed to collect 500k (along with my current and next level's gear) during the period. I know it's not much, but, for a first character, 500k isn't shabby at all.

Had no idea how long he had been doing it but lvl 16 with 3k sp is kinda impressive. Providing he was telling the truth anyway

Lvl 16 and 3000 SP!!! I'm Lvl 13 with 455 SP!!! What am I missing out on?! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
