Whoops, I guess its obvious that I pretty much quit. Last I knew he turned his char into a spear and that was that.

Either way at 80 cap (when i was around), and probably 90 cap as well with snow shield activated there was no question that 70:70 is/was better. The question has always been can they survive without it.

since a str 90 can kill another str 90 then i think vs a hybrid without snowshield the hybrid would die pritty fast, but i guess it comes down to how fast the hybrid can kill the str before hes killed himself

IMO, hybrid 70:70 can never be a tank. In the many events that I went for, I much preferred to play a support character, to slow opponent down with iced/ KB arrow combo, while waiting for a proper tank to come, and a nuker to blast the opponents.

Once snow runs out, prepare to be disabled as well. Death is inevitable. Start running to save your bollocks!

Then again, the above situation is coming from a full-farmed lvl79 bow hybrid, with good gear, though not exactly up-to-date ones

Good guide dude i made 1 but i edited it a lil i got force and light and currently its at lvl 7 which is the highest lvl i have gotten any bow build so good job

Question: Wouldn't going 90 pach 90 force 90 light and 30 ice/cold better? I mean, if your most damage is made from int (which is pretty much true), you can always have 30 fire for that bit phy. increase, hence do mad damage.

I took a long break from Sro and now im going to move to the Server Uranus
And i will make my 70:70 Bow there

Since im up to date i would recommend the Build Pacheon/light/ice
since snow shield plays and important role in PvP

@Ricooo im nut sure about Force i cant imagine that force is that usefull compared to ice... correct me if im wrong

At lvl 90, debuffing in pvp using force can DOUBLE your damage.

Ice for nice def and tank ability and force for damage output ?

Thing is, force is not 100% chances of working, and also if you face someone cleric-buffed then you are probably doomed as you'd rely a lot on force with a 70:70 build I think. I doubt a 70:70 bow build would be able to have force maxed among it's masteries without heavily relying on it, therefore I don't think it's a so wise idea.

Don't know if you remember me or not, posted 2 years ago in this thread, friend of Wind and Samara back on Aege.

I am back as well, but have not got myself interested in building bow again, unfortunately. But I have been evangelizing the merits of this build for other weapons.

I have a lvl 66 70/70 spear and a a lvl 55 60/80 sword and shield, I am working on making it 70/70. If my s/s doesn't work out, I'll convert it to bow.

May want to update your first post in this thread to reflect your new mastery recommendations.

From the opening post video showing the 2 "80:80" builds,... the evidence is quite clear. The survivability of such a build is very questionable. Both archers in the video definitely needed snow shield or it was over for them... Even with it their HP came dangerously close to 0 in some scenes.

And before someone respond to this by saying "With good gear the build is still a good build", I'd advise them to think that having good gear is a moot point. Your opponent can have "good" gear too.

This build might be good for a FULL support class rather than a good PVP build. I don't see it lasting 3 seconds a guild war.

im have 8X retire 70:70 char. Base on experience i will like to conclude that this build need to use garment badly.S/S KD+debuff nuker will give u trouble especially when u r in protector.Beside ull also need ice def and its snow in FW or u wont last long in group battle.
Mean that,heuksal/pacheon need to be match up with ice.The damage will be lowest but its the only way to fix def prob.

Well from experience, I can tell you that bow is a questionable PvP build no matter what the build. Being pure str does not improve survivability at all. At least the skill updates since the 70 cap have made it more versatile.

In the hands of a skilled PvP player, it can be formidable. Player skill makes all the difference, here. Of course player skill can potentially make you targeted in guild wars and jobbing. At that point, no build will save you.

I can also say full int nukers sux without good gear right ?
All builds depends on gears and player skills..

Euro Builds are Pure Builds.. why ? because their weapons have only Phy attack OR Mag attack
I Prefer hybrids for chinese especially bow, spear and sword

Currently:

Avatar> devil spirit> euro buffs> sun gear> maxed gear> weapon> full farmed> player build> server lag> player skill

Player skill hardly matters anymore, its about item mall, farmed, and gear. you miss any of the three and you wont last long in pvp.

I wish I could get a video of crow playing his hybrid bower. =/ though I dont know what that would prove anyways. lol

Thats true.. Item mal Users are on Advantage.. the deal higher damale and can tank longer etc.
Cash Items make this game Unbalanced.. for non Cash user its hard to survive but i still think some "normal" player can still own

Its kinda sad how SRO developed.. a few years ago it was fun to play with all the job wars and all the activ players.. today all bot and thats boring lol
Botters arent that worst some of them are nice.. what really worse is the fact the SRO became a cash game nvm... this is out of topic hehe

pacheon 90 light 90 ice 90 has higher def but lower damage but still good

Yup, it's all a matter of personal preference. Also, another possible build would be 90pacheon/90lightning/60cold/60fire.

Well a 85% str hybrid has higher HP so ice 50 would be ok then Light 50 Pacheon 100 and Fire 100
