I spent 5mill on bows at 32-38 and 18mill on a 42 ++ SOX bow....I already have a 52 bow in storage and every piece of 6d protector I look at is 250k - 2mill...............moral of this story is YES Sethzor you need a lot of money for a good build and even more when you are looking to have your blues help you balance it.

....That video shows mostly that guy vs newbies or int. Also, if you noticed that bow is sox+5, might even be sosun+5. Obviously he's going to be winning against people with so much worse equips.....I bet he would crit way higher if he was pure str with that same bow.
You should also read his comments, the guy said he switched to spear.

Sure, bow may seem like a hybrid weapon, but it really isn't. That guy would be doing more damage, and faster by just nuking, since 70:70 is the result of 3:5 stat distribution, which is about 15 stat points different from 1:2 int hybrid build.

Sure, the build is interesting and has a higher avg damage than pure str, but so does any int hybrid compared to str, with any weapon.

It is not a unique build, it is simply the oldest build in the game, int hybrid with. My very first char was int hybrid archer and very early on I realized how bad the build was.

as for me...i have a int hibrid spearman ...lvl 74 atm...it is my second char....(the first one didnt last even to lvl 22)...and im playing at him about an 1.5 year now....at first when i made him...i put almost every stat on STR,up to lvl 17 or 18....so i wasnt pure str but i was almost a pure one...

then someone told me that i should made a pure int char....well when i started the game i already quited one char because i didnt know anything about sp farming and stuff....and i didnt felt like starting over again...i decided "what a hell" ill try with this one and see what is gonna be...so i started to put every point on int afterwards....i was sucky build all the way up to the lvl 42....on lvl 42 my mag balance was high enough...but not that high...i putted int and int all the way up to lvl 67...then i added a bit of str also....like 2 int 1 str on lvl 68...and 2str and 1 int on lvl 69..and again 2 in 1 str...on lvl 70...and afterwards only int...


as i said im lvl 74 now.....my mag balance with all the stats is 100%...and my phys balance is 71%....

i have around 10700 hp points....and 14600 mp points...im also planing to put only int now all the way.....

my build is now pretty strong..as some will say "i kick asses" .....i winn all pure int builds...most of glaviers....almost all bowmen....and with some bladers when i fight ...we cant kill each other( it is a pot war)...

of course if they are at my lvl...and wears a solid equipment like i do....

if they have som and sosuns sets and weapons i dont have a chance....cause i dont have any of that items on myself...just plain +5s....

so for me it was a long experiment.....but lucky for me successful one..

the thing is....most of my playing "career " was without a gt's and stuff...so i was most of the time unfarmed and with a gap....

i gain my first gt on lvl 56....brought me to lvl 63
then i had another one...which brought me to lvl 68...
with full skills till lvl 60....then i had to do some serious farming...


i farmed a bit ....without gts....then raised a gap...lvld myself to lvl 72 and than had a brake for 3 months...

now i started over....bought some premiums...finsihed one recently ...farmed out like 80k of sp with it.....and then from lvl 72 i raised my self on lvl 74 for a week.....

but anyway....im lvl 74 with his main skills(heux,light,fire) on lvl 72(maxed)....i also use cold it is on lvl 60(buffs only)

i didnt tried out pvp with my char fully farmed.....cause im working and stuff...so i barely manage to spend my ticket...but thats another story...

but if i've done that results as i mention above with larger gap then gap 2.....i can only do better .dont you think?

anyway....this is only my experience with the hybrid builds...

and for the conclusion...if u make hybrid builds...u need a lot of skills...and a lot of sp farming...= a lot of time and patience,and temper,and nervs...to do it all to the end...

i almost quited sro cause of loosing my nervs and temper....but im glad i continued .....cause my char ownz ^^


and yes i would say that there is no best build in game....it all depends how u play it...how u build it...and how good is your equipment...

i dont have some spectacular equips...but most of them is +4 or +5....with str and int 4-5.....regular +4 +5 full blue items....

Doesn't matter what your base balances are if he ended up with equal balances with pimped gear. Although it puzzles me how he got to 82% both magical and physical balance when 55int will not up your magical balance by 18%. You need more int to up a magical balance by 1% than a physical balance by 1%.

That 4 % will not make ya that much better -.-
I say that i can reach overall the highest str and int... Just need enough money and if you're on the highest level, what else have you to do....? I know another way to get such stuff. My character Payne got nearly overall 5 str, but i stopped to play sro, but i think now about to start again and of making my spear hybrid to a bow character 82/82.

That less damage, if you add more str is not really right. If you fight against a pure int with garment, then its not bad to have the one or other point in str. Btw. that game have not a "uberformula" for the best balances... I mean it looks like that, if you say "you have to make it 70/70, cuz you loose 4% mag. damage". Well, then you could start to aim for 90% magical, cuz it makes more damage and take only 1k hp? Btw. that what makes hybrids like that own, is the alchemy. If there would be no alchemy, such characters would suxxx like hell. Just for information. So you have to aim for the best alchemy results you can get, whatever it costs.

However, the most 5str/5int stuff i have, are drops. Yea i know, unbelievable, but that wasn't normal drops. I made botters to murderer and raped them totally out. They have always the best stuff.

u rly dnt see the point of a 70:70 bow build, its 70:70 because this balances gives the best amg dmg AND crit increase dmg overall, adding more mag makes your crits weaker, adding more str will make ur dmg lower, the even balance of 70:70 gives u the even balance of both dmg and crit increase. And if you noticed bow has the lowest damages of all weaps, its phy damage is lower then a blade and mag dmg is lower then a sword, but phy dmg is higher then a sword and mag dmg is higher then a blade, i would say this is a perfect hybrid weap but dats my opinion, so the 70:70 balance will produce the most even damage from a bow or crit damage and non crit damage. and are you level 80 fully farmed yet? i'm L78 fully farmed and i'm trying to get my blues higher on my gear, u say there's nothing to do at L80, but pimping isn't 1 thing you want to do, i have 50 int and 50 str on my gears, i try making 55 str before but my other blues drop sometimes when i fail, you need lots and lots and lots of gold, but i rather save this gold for pimping 9D. The chances of reaching 55/55 is like getting +7 without astrals

Why would you want an INT based Archer?

Bowman need crits, powerful crits.

Why? Because thats why JoyMax added 2 skills that increase Criticals (Anti Devil and Strong Arrow).

You get powerful crits by being PURE STR. Pure STR has THE HIGHEST crits because the more STR you add the more powerful your crits, and physical defense become. A INT Based Build OR STR Hybrid will not have the same or more powered crits as an PURE STR, unless they have pimped equipment (for this I'm just comparing a pure str bow stock everything with all the other builds stock everything.) Also an INT based bow build sucks because they have 0 DEFENSE, no shield, no HP increase they die a lot and a bowman is supposed to last a long time thats why they are best in jobbing. I have tried 70:70 bow got him to level 35 (I know its low but its high enough level to know this build just simply sucks) he died a lot, could never stand a chance in pvp and in jobbing where you get teamed up he died all the time. I have a level 51 Pure STR bowman now and he owns, his criticals almost one shot all INT's. He has tons of HP which helps in Jobbing when he is getting teamed up on. And once he gets to a high level with the 2 skills with critical increase he will be critting every hit (or almost) and will be unstoppable.
