The more you have, the better. I had about 2000 when I reached level 20 and it was well enough until level 30. But now near level 40 I'm farming more SP since the higher your skills get the more you will need SP. Use SP Calculator to check what kind of SP amounts you will need.

hehe
here is a quicky one made by me ^_^;;
first, if you have a char, you got there a tab of current level(that is if you want to know how to build, how, and how much)
go on the planned char one, raise it to the level you want, then go to weapon/elements thignys and raise they're level, you will get a new window with the skill list on it, you put in what ever skills you wish ^_^ and vwalla, you press calculate after you finish, and happy happy ^_^ it shows you the SP you need
(picture will be posted later)

There is no such thing as “enough for this level” it all just depends on how you want to play out the game. At level 16 I had farmed 9k SP which lasted me for a while and allowed me to level with a 0 mastery gap (Really fast leveling!). But, when I reached 4x I started to run dangerously low on SP, so I had to farm again. I really do recommend that you farm as much as you can at low levels (75k) that way you can blast right through the high levels, because leveling is slow enough as it is with a small gap.
This is a game, You're invited. www.lost.eu/572c4
