Item Drops?

Hello, I was wondering if there are certain monsters that have a higher rate for dropping SOS or SOM items or even higher level weapons/ armor. or do all monsters, withing a given range, have a chance to drop any item within that level range?

Yeah its random...I got a SOS garment item yesterday while killing Devil Flowers, and it was lvl 42, I'm frickin lvl 33 and I wear protector so it was no use to me, so i may sell it in Hotan when I get a chance

Most drops are completely random, but it does seem that some mobs drop more than others. For example I got really really crappy drops when doing the kill 1000 ghost flower quests. I have also heard that Tigers have a really high SoS drop rate, but that may just be coincidance.

BTW i got a lvl 1 sos ring off the MangYang lol. i didn't know what it was so i just sold it in the npc store instead of wearing it. lol. oh well.

i got tons and tons of drops from those flower. i got my only sos from them.

i've had success with earth ghosts........
lvl 24 sos crit 10 str +1 glaive
lvl 27 female protector head gear +1 str +1 or 2 or somthing
lvl 25 female protector shell sos steady 5 lucky 2

I think they are random...but I have gotten 4 weapon elixir drops so far from bandits alone...and 2 protect elixirs, 2 acc elixir...this is within a few days...just a thought

agreed. my frend found a sos lvl 16 spear from a white tiger, anothe frend found sos lvl 8 boots from bandits i think. i havent found nothin, and ive played more than both of em combined lol. im pretty sure its random.

True..Yesterday i was killing flowers like mad for the European or Chinese Liquor...and dropped me my first SOS....
I'm 37 ATM...and look what it dropped:

Yeah, same thing here! The giant bandits droppet allot, i hade like 5 weapon elixirs after a weak of giant hunting.

drops are COMPLETLY random. that includes lvl mobs just tend to drop items around their lvl. but truat me. i knew a guy who got a lvl 60 unrepairable blade from a freiken earth toaist!. not to mention the lvl 29 SoS chest dom got from a bandit

Level 60 unrepairable blade? I find that hard to believe, considering only Uniques drop unrepairable crap.

i played for like 2 months and i never got a sos drop
alsodifferent level of monsters drop level items near the mob level so beware of what you want

it goes like this
by a place i've read about item drops, each and every monster drop equips according to his/her level.
meaning, if you kill a tiger which is level 18, you will get level 18 equips(INCLOODING Seal of star)
For Seal of Sun and seal of Moon, the level gap is 7+, meaning, if you want to get a SoS/SoM level 16 weapon, you'll need to kill monsters in the level range on 22~25

no drops arnt that random lol if they are then the pattern for drops for me @ ghost/devil bugs is one huge coincidence. I get drops like crazy there. Everytime I go to town sell and come back my inventory fills back up. So drops imo are not as random as people would think. Especially in a beta game, the algorithums to calculate item drop+ local isnt that sofisticated so there has to be areas where the drops are concentrated due to that fact. :wink:

I kno places that drop high + and so items so w/e think its random all you want. I will be making the money no the people who believe in randomness. (FYI: Nothing in a game is truley random, it is coded to happen @ a time/interval @ a place from a monster.)

ive played less than a month and ive gotten a lvl 1 sos boot from a mangyang... a tasset and iron bow from white tigers... sold both for 14mil ^^

I got a sos chest armor (3rd degree) from Bandits at the strong hold and few hours later, I got a 3rd degree sos sword. I think it's the more you grind on the same mob, more chance you have of getting a SOx drop

for me i got an sos while killing ong bee
the funy think that i was doing the quest that consiste of killing ong until geting a single stupid item

when i droped the sos i sayed shit i even get an sos but not my quest item

after some ong killed i finaly get my item

I killed 15K+ ugigs not one sox. So no.
Depends on your luck. I know someone that is lucky to get an acc exilir, but every stone seems to work for him. Is it random, yes to SOME degree.
