Bow build 70:70 GUIDE Updated 3.0!

sorry ... u may be experienced with bow .. the int class and full str class ..

but i didnt see u talking about Heavy STR Hybrid bows .. u missed that dude.

Cause this build is more effective than a 70/70

My Build is 5Str on 1Int .. balance about 100% - 54%

The crit is still very high like a Full str. but u got more mag def .. well a lil bit and u make MORE damage in general ... Still u got a lot of HP so u can easily tank a blader of even a glavier.

The 70/70 bow ... well it makes more damage in general .. the crit is low.. So ur only weapon against others is not very effective .. ur HP is low but ur defence in mag is higher.

Still i think with a 70/70 hybrid u are USED to have very good EQ or else u wont have a chance against glavies and blader ...

Me and some Guys Made these experiences .. Well i am from beginning on a Heavy STR hybrid and i am very pleased with it! No player on my level can kill me .. well only the Suns ^^ but even a lv 77 Full int is not a problem .. glavies on my level dun have a single chance .. Well thanks to the 5 arrow combo but not ONLY because of it.. Because my crits are nice and the general damage to..

so my conclusion is:

If you say that 70/70 is best bow build, test the other option first .. then see what u get ...

my opinion is, that a heavy Str hybrid is better than the 70/70 ...

Actually without having any experience with any bow build other than 70:70. I think that Str hybrid may be a very good build.

Actually I think any build between pure str, and hybrid int would work quite well.

Bliss since you are pretty high level could you take a look at this guide, and maybe give a comment.

I will say that while I have above average gear, tanking bladders has never been a problem unless they have better than a sos+5 blade. And now with snow shield, I should be able to tank everyone my level for 2 min.
Lets just hope I can kill them in that time.

Il be doing a bit more research for you next week probably, Will be farming for 100k @ lvl 42 hopefully with some tickets..... Grinding on Euro's at the moment 39-42 hopefully to get a euro drop and actually be able to afford a Sos 42 bow, they are 20kk on Eldorado :banghead:

Well it wasnt easy for me to open this thread... it was troublesome !
But now it seems so that a lot of people tried/are trying this build out and some of them are already 60+..
I looking forward to hear some reply of the build.
Because i just want to know if it was worth to spent so much time on the bow build

Very interesting thread indeed, i stumbled over it cause i am building (currently farming) a bow hyb and i wanted to read about others experiences with such a build.
@Jadekiss i really appreciate that u share your knowledge with others it must be f**king hard to deal with stupid and/or ignorant people who claim themselves pros lol.

i didnt read all the posts till now, but first i want to point something out for those people who didnt get it in their brains^^:
you wanna know why 50:50 is not 80:80 or 1:1?
there is a % sign behind the balances that could tell you that there must be something that counts for 100% right? so take the most easy example that 100% balance means 1 dmg. a 50:50 balance means u make 0.5 phy and 0.5 mag dmg. 80:80 balance means u do 0.8 phy and 0.8 mag dmg. its so damn obvious if u dont get it now... LOL
u can look at the 80:80 also as kinda overal dmg 160 beacause phys and mag dmg count TOGEHTER and do not devide or something else do they?^^ and thats the point of the whole story: u will do more dmg than a full str just because if u put more points into int the mag bal will rise more frequently than the phys (in fact mag bal rises 1% all 3-4 points(alternating) of int and phy bal do so all 5-6 str points set). mag balance is lower at the beginning but it will rise faster then phy bal thats that.
thats the whole thing why u do higher damage when u go int: because your overall balance will be much higher than if u go str. this is very important for a char who wants to take advantage of both phys and mag dmg, you should aim at a high overall bal while still making good crits and having some lifepoints to survive.
if u want to get everything out of the char, there are some numbers that can be seen as most efficient (i will explain why) when talking about a overall balance as high as possible and still having a high phy bal over 80%

without gear:
str 194
int 241
70:69 bal

with gear 5/5
str 249
int 296
81:85!!

why this setup? u will exactly hit 166(81:85) overall bal with the last point set in int and str. im talking about an ideal point of distributing the statpoints. if we go further the next ideal distribution can be hit at 168 overall balance but it would send you under 80% phy bal, just take it as an example:

without gear:
str 173
int 241
66:75 bal

with gear 5/5
str 228
int 317
77:91 bal

i will go for the 166 ob, it is a good compromise in high dmg and also high resistance, i am really curious how strong this build will be.

lol guys i read this thread some heat building up, if you ever fought a 80:80 bow build they are very very strong indeed, i am hybrid spear 80% mag, i can easily rape a str archer with my mana shield, but with hybrid bow i can't kill him unless i do few crits on my spear, not even with my mana shield activated, and now that bow has KB i think hybrid definately the way to go, even thought str bow do gud crits, it doesn't crit often enough to kill and i stun him b4 he can and the use of mana shield jus cuts it by 50%. But obviously str bow build is better in different situtations where you maybe needed to tank a little and much more effective at killing pure ints.

I wont say 70:70 build is the best, but it's really a good build and it's better than 2:1 hybrid bow.
Atm, i have a bow balace 72:74 and it deals very good damage, 6.5k dmg strongbow on Shakram.
If i were 81/85 balance, maybe i'll kill a nuker same lvl in 1 strongbow :shock:

well guys im trying the build too (atm almost lv 32 with 74k sp left)

but i chose it bcz it was a very good pve build, the part which is the most interested imo (you spend the most time of the game on it =p unless ur a botter ofcourse xD)

but now peeps are saying that the build could do very good in pvp, well, let's hope so i quess

till know i lost from a full farmed lv 32 glavie, but i was in garms, quess i have to take protectors......and mana shield is just 24% now
(and lol, who cares about lv 32 =p

Likewise. Hes my idol lol. BUT, now that everyone is saying that 70:70 or 80:80 is going to better, I may switch over to it from level 16. Im 16 pure str bower farming right now, would u suggest when im done farming I should at to int and take my clothes off?

Hehe good to hear. But im sorry i can only post the movies in 2 months, for now im gonna build up a big gap, and without the new skills a 70:70 isnt that good i think, but when you have stun+knockback it might turn out te be really good, atleast it deals great dmg like silo already said.
I need 178k sp to get fully farmed lv 80 -_- so that will take a while, but you got my word i'll post some movies when im done

if you are under 10k sp right now, id suggest restarting a char and making it pure int bow for farming.

that way you can 1 shot bandit archers and get sp faster.

then add str later.

The reason why I am not going to do that is because I am not sure if I will switch to hybrid cuz i dont know which is better. Also, I HATE sp farming just like most people (I think) and only am going for like 30-40k at tops. (EDIT) I forgot to say, hopefully by the time UnDutchable posts his 70:70 movies and it turns out to be better than his strength, I can still switch over to hybrid. What do you think the max level is until I wont be able to switch? Also, like right now im 95% physical and 35 Magical, would I just add int until i reach 70:70?

LvL 60 fully farmed 70:70 bowman here.
I ks everything from STR users ard me, i KS giant even from a zerking full STR while im not zerking.
I ks mob from full int my lvl.
Part of the reason is due to my SoS +7 bow.
But even without a sos +7 i would say 70:70 bow is definitely worth building.
I kill ppl my lvl regardless of their build. Except blader/sworders.
Snow shield is your friend. Your means of surviving.

I find it funny how all of a sudden people are like oh my god bow rocks. Especially 70:70 hybrid bow. The bottom line is bow is now competitive with the other builds once you have stun and knock back.
And mana shield helps the hybrid builds.
But seriously people!!!!!
We are now competitive once we get to lvl 74+. Well great I am looking forward to that, in 1 year I will be that level.

And no disrespect to undutchable but he has sosun bow. Any build with sosun will be able to kill someone.

Don't forget every build has disabling moves before us. ..... crossbow has knock back almost instantly.

Im not saying its a bad build. I enjoy it but I hope everyone realizes what they are getting into by going bow.

When do we get bleed on our arrow combo?

it must be 97/53 with 80/80

and 90/60 with 80/80 ?

Will a 90/70 build, a 100/60 build be better or an 80/80

If you go to the link you will see a picture taken from the game. In the upper left you will see a head. Click the head. Now you can pick your level and distribute your int and str points accordingly. You will see the balances change depending on where you put your stat points.

did anyone else notice this... jadkiss said bow ISNT a physical weapon, THEN he said it ISNT a magic weapon. lolzors. r you throwing nukes or magic stuff? then its ment to be phys. and compare it to the europe crossbow, the ranged non-magic damage dealer. thats ONLY phys atk, which confirms that Joymax wanted the bow to be a phys weapon.

You can't really compare euro directly to china. Because crossbow in euro is phy it might not be in china.

My euro wizard's staff has a crit on it, but she can only deal magical attacks, and we all know nukes dont crit, so why is that stat there?

Euro is different then china, it requires a completely different approach to everything.

Ever notice how there is Sword(int)/Blade(str), Spear(Int)/Glavie(str) Bow has only one bow so logically it is both.

Not only hybrids or 70:70 bows got stronger.

Without being cocky I can say that I always was a decent bower. I got good gear (atleast a +4 set) and that helped me loads. But now I got my bow skills up to 76 and fire up to level 73. I can say I am very very hard to kill for anybody. Nukers who hit me for 10k+ even have a hard time. A level 77 sosun bower needs 3 crits to kill me, but he is weak ^^.

I am pure str and with the new skills I can put a finger in my nose and not get killed by anybody my level without sun or +5 set.
