do you have to download DirectX cuz im tyring to download sro to a different comp. and whenever I try to open sro it says download the latest DirectX and I do and after it still says the same thing when I try to open sro and i've downloaded it about 5 times but same thing everytime so can someone pls help me!!!

you on vista?

if so, go to the exe , right click, hit proterties, and change compatibility to windows xp

I've been running Windows Vista and been having some issues with SRO in the beginning until I had the luminous idea of just going to Microsoft's DirectX downloadsite and installing DirectX from the download provided.
Windows Vista works standard with DirectX 10, but when you run this installer it installs a complementary DirectX 9 which solves every issue with SRO.

It did for me anyway...

ive got the exact same problem at the moment, tryin to get it to work on the laptop
is your error a visual C++runtime library? mine is and ive downloaded the SDK april 2007 and directx9.0 because thats what the GM said to do, it didnt work though =/

no mine just says when i double click on the sro icon need to download the latest DirectX 9.0 and i do and it still doesnt work
