Can someone teach me how to get to Donwhang?

So im level 19, and theres a few quests, one killing chakji (annoying weirdos!) and the other is talking to the NPC of Donwhang, so I cross the ferry and I look at my map... There doesn't seem to be a road that leads right into Donwhang, like they all die before getting there? So I was like that sucks, and I just go forward (straight up) And soon i'm dead and deleveled because about ten earth taoist jumped me doing a whopping 300+ damage, killing me in 4 hits.

So besides paying 5000 to get there via teleportation, what another way to get there?! (like on a horse or on foot)?

well, you don't HAVE to follow a road at all.....

but the way i normally went at level 20 or so is:

from the ferry, head north, to go around the mountains. earth taoists are in the mountains, and they'll own your level 20 guy.

once past the mountain, about even with DW, head straight west. you'll go through ghost soldiers, some bugs, and some earth ghosts. your best bet is not to try and fight very many of these things, just keep running.

There are 2 roads to reach Downhang from Jangan, one is from west of Downhang, and the other is south.

For a player level below 25, I would really suggest you to take the east route, because you can still handle the monsters that are likely the same level as you, like Chakji, Devil bug, Hyungo Ghost, Demon horse, Earth Ghost, etc. While south road is full of aggresive monsters that could take you back to Jangan in an instant. lol

There are 2 ferries, one is "Chinese Eastern Ferry" and another one is "Chinese Western Ferry." Go to either one. Then, there will be an NPC, talk to him, cross the ferry, now you are on the desert land where the Chenji Workers & Chenji are. If you want to go to Donwhang, just walk more west until you reach to Donwhang. However, beware of monsters higher level than you like Demon Horses, Earth Taoists, etc. Open the Map (by press "M") if you not sure where you are while walking to Donwhang.

I would not do the LV 19 quests until like LV 21, so I don't die due to quests.
Also, why don't you just wait to LV 20 and do the trading from Jangan to Donwhang? I think that's better way to explore (and get money at once).

Emm... Perhaps you didn't read what I said.

I know what a map is. I've looked at the map. I've said that I already have been to the other side and gotten my ass wuped by going straight up. The purpose of my thread was to find out how to get there without dieng, and thank you geobot and illusions for reading before replying unlike someone else.

I know the rest about the purpose why you wanted to go to Donwhang.

like everyone else is saying id go to the east ferry then head north and stay well clear of the mountains, also but lots of horses cos if u only lvl 20 u cant ride a shaddow horse yet, and the red horses will get owned in 1 hit by nearly all the mobs in the dw area, also the dimention gate will prob work out cheaper, cos of the amount of horses and potion u will need to get there alive at lvl 20 lol

The first time I went to Downhang, I just bit the bullet and teleported from jangan to get the quests.

I rode a horse... You can get there with one red horse you just have to know the right route to take =)

Or since your on TROY.. Just PM me and I'll take you there with a trade run... You can stay on top ur camel/horse and I'll do the rest.. (that is when you you reach lvl 20)

juts take the teleporter til you are high enough level to make it safely

Lol

and Ill prob take the 5k route so I dont get zapped. I don't always look at the monstar maps because sometimes its very inaccurate about what else can spawn there. It tells you where things can spawn, but not everything that spawns there! I got my butt kicked because I thought those were the only spawn areas for certain things
