Seal of Star and +1 items .. what are the advantages?

Seal of Star and +1 items .. what are the advantages?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows what the advantage to Seal of Star items is over regular items. Also, what does it mean when a weapon or armor is +1 or +2?

Compare their stats. They are better with a Seal or +#.
