Squares on text in jSRO

I started to play jSRO yesterday with my friends, and what a difference! no lag, no bots and you actually find items! i found a SoM (i think, read the problem below) shield lvl 1 from a lvl1 monster!
Well, to the problem. I have installed files for East Asian languages, and set Japanese for non-unicode programs. Well, i see hiragana, katakana and kanjis, and can typ them, but for example: I click on a NPC, at first his name is with kanjis, but when i click him, it turns to squares. Same with other players, monsters and so on. Even items that i pick up. The name of them (and if its blue, the +stats) are squares when in my inventory, so i can't see the name of what i pick up.
I guess this has to do with something that i don't have the font or something, but I even tried to install all the fonts from my buddies japanese XP, and nothing changed. He, of course, sees everything. How can i change this? its very annoying!
I play on Ilios btw.

Well, i hade tried to copy the fonts from my friend, and that didn't work.
GAH its driving me crazy! Not to be able to see the name of the item or the attributes.
It's like (instead of #, its a square):
######### 3 ### (30%)
I mean...
To contact jSRO with my lousy japanese would be no good

Any other ideas?

As said before, it probably is another font on the names and such. Anyone knows what font it uses? can you check that somehow? It is annoying when you get a Seal of X but don't know which one it is.
