Here is a guide for displaying your scrambled, weird lettered and numbered Silkroad to Chinese. This is FOR VISTA ONLY, GO TO InserName's guide for XP Version.

I have included Step-By-Step including pictures to do this. I have also included a little neat tool bar that enables you to translate your english to chinese INGAME.

Let's get started, at first your launcer and ingame text is with all weird things, as you can see:Image

Yuck huh?

FIRST STEP- Start/Control Panel
Image

SECOND STEP- Click on Clock, Language, and Region
Image

THIRD STEP- Click on Regional and Language Options
Image

FOURTH STEP- Click on Administrative Tab
Image

FIFTH STEP- Click on Change System Locale Button
Image

SIXTH STEP- Click on the Drop Arrow
Image

SEVENTH STEP- Click on Chinese (PRC)
Image

EIGHTH STEP- Click Ok and it will Prompt you to Restart, Click Restart
Image

After you restart and start the Silkroad Launcher, Wallah, IN CHINESE!
Image

This is the second part of this guide, translating your english text in-game to chinese text.

FIRST STEP- In the Regional Language Options You Went Previously, Click The Keyboard and Languages TAB
Image

SECOND STEP- New Window Will Come Up, Under the General TAB, Click on the Add Button
Image

THIRD STEP- Find Chinese (PRC) and Click on the + Sign
Image

FOURTH STEP- Check Mark BOTH the Chinese (Simplified) Microsoft Pinyin IME AND Chinese (Simplified) US Keyboard
Image

FIFTH STEP- Now that you have that tool bar installed, it should be at the lower right side of your tool bar.
Image

SIXTH STEP- Now, In-game if you want to type something out in Chinese(this is why I prefer playing SRO in Windows Mode, Much More CONVENIENT) Click on the EN button and select the Chinese (PRC). While you type out something the Chinese Tool bar will pop out a little thing that has the translation for what you are typing.
Image

SEVENTH STEP- When done typing any word, simply PRESS SPACE BAR and it will translate AUTOMATICALLY

I hope you have enjoyed this guide!

The translator has many different versions of the word you can use, if the people don't understand, use a different version or as Insert said, Add the Quanping one.

the "translator" isn't an actually translator

it only gives chinese words pronounced like "testing" such as te s ting 特撒听 it makes no sense (on google translator it means tesa hearing)
