CSRO problems.

For some reason, I can't seem to play CSRO now. I was able to play fairly well for a month, but just today I moved back into the dorms for college. My other games seem to work fine, but with csro, the game "connects" but I don't have HP/MP or stat points, as well as unable to move. I was able to connect once for about 1 minute before the game crashed and wouldn't let me play again without me restarting the game. I suspect the internet connection, but like I said my other MMORPGs play just fine, with no lag on this conncetion. I should also add I play on div2. When I tried div 1, things seem to work just fine- it's just div2 that's giving me problems. I really don't want to leave my characters on div2, or my guild, so what should I do?

I already installed that when I first downloaded the game. Like I said, everything was working fine until I changed internet connections, so I know it has something to do with where I am. I just don't know what or how to fix it.

Don't worry about it, and I'm sorry if I sounded rude. At least you tried to help, and that's what's important. Oh well, if I can't get it fixed, I guess I could just move to div 1.

Still, does anyone else get this problem?

So you never modified the media.pk2 after you downloaded it again? Because if it is translated to English it will not work.

at first I modified it, then read that was wrong, so I changed it back, downloaded the pk2 file from that german site, and since Christmas I could play with no problem. Now that I moved into my dorms, only the first division works. The problem is, all my info is on the second division, so it would be me restarting from scratch.

I don't know a solution to this problem, maybe the German website you are downloading it from has a "corrupted" install or something I would highly recommend downloading in these steps:

1. Download Web Thunderbolt: http://down.sandai.net/WebThunder1.11.2.200.exe
2. Install Web Thunderbolt
3. Launch Web Thunderbolt.
4. Launch Internet Explorer.
5. Goto this address: http://www.srocn.com/czss/undefined
6. Install the Client and launch do not modify ANY client files to avoid corruption.
7. Try it and tell me if it works :).

corrupted? But I played since Christmas with no problem before. Why would a corrupted file suddenly start giving me problems? D:

Oh well. I think because div1 works for me, I'm going to stay on there, and try to get on div2 whenever I can to tell my guild members goodbye. Thanks for trying to help anyway, though :)

Well I assumed your install was "corrupted" because your getting the EXACT same symptoms of when you have your Media.PK2 translated to English...

I just don't think you either installed it correctly or the install is old or messed up.

if the media.pk2 is corrupted, he wont need to re download and install the client??..
thats a waste of time.. try dowload a new pk2 just to see if the problem still is the same..

besides, why would the pk2 suddenly start acting this way for only the server I play on? For some reason, the server I play on div2 now has higher pings than other servers- before it was the exact opposite.

Because it might not have been just that PK2 either

Sorry dude I have no idea on how to fix that problem, now you said that you switched internet...does your internet work good? And make sure all your firewalls allow SRO to let through to the internet. Those are the only 2 things I could think of that could solve your problem.

it could also be that your college connection is higher than your home connection and that the net provider is closer to china where the div1 servers are located

ironically my internet at college is better than at home. They know students need a little gaming downtime, so the internet speed is pretty nice. My other games (maplestory, trickster) work perfectly.

Also, wouldn't the two divisions be together? I'm about 70 miles away from my house, I doubt that tiny difference would make such a big difference ><;

I would but the procedure before was hell fried on a stick for me. Thankfully my love of the game has died down a little bit (not saying I hate it, I just don't want to play as much) so my loss is nothing to worry about at this point. The only reason I don't let the thread die is the off-chance someone else has this problem and wish it fixed.

What about iSRO, does iSRO work for you? If iSRO works then we know it must be the client and not your internet. Also have you checked to see if any of your Firewalls are blocking SRO?

I tried looking for isro in my computer- I didn't delete it- but it's missing. It's like csro replaced it. 0.o; Good riddence, I say. And I figure that if csro deleted isro, the opposite will be true. And I made sure to turn off most of my firewalls- Vista, you know how that goes. :/

Woah wait you have Vista? Try doing this

Compatibility Mode: run it under Windows XP Service Pack 2
Run it under Administrator.
