csro not working after update [solved]

i had been using compatibility mode (under win98) to run my csro on my xp

after the weekly update, i guess hte server think i am using a modified client, it disconnects me after like 3 sec

if i take off the compatibility mode, csro crashes after i press Start, with an error msg saying csro crashed under my "win98" [even though i am runnign xp] for some reason

anyone has such problem?

UPDATE Jan 14th, well, not exactly solved, but i figured a way to play cSRO w/o getting dced from server, i had to run from my dad's side (a restricted accnt), for some reason it wont under my Admin account

Are you still using the English Media.PK2

You cannot use the PK2'd Media.PK2 anymore you have to leave it at Chinese now.

I would try re installing the client, never heard of this error.

Btw why would you run the game under 98' when you have XP

already did, but same thing, this anti-modified client patch is too good

i had to run it under 98 b/c if i dont, it crashes after i press Start

with an error sender thing saying my OS is 98

I don't know how to fix that, sorry. Try posting this on the cSRO official forums.

i already did, they responded like within 5min and send my problem to their IT department

just wondering if i am the oddball here with teh problem
