I need help with this language change thing I don't get it 1 bit

okay here is the problem whenever I hex edit it it...and the number at the bottom stays the same from start to finish... I save it and then I launch the launcher but it comes up with a message saying: the media.pk2 is damaged closing launcher....help any1?

Read them again carefully, it's not very complicated, specially with XVI32.

Just open your Media.pk2 file with the program and search for "Chinese" (without the quotes) in ANSI mode (If you are using XVI32, to search in ANSI mode, UNcheck the option "Unicode Latin"), You will find a line that says "Language=Chinese" Change that to "Language=English", save the file and start playing

About your second post, be careful to not change more than necessary. You could have deleted something or added something that shouldn't have, thus damage the file. This only happens to me if, by accident i modify a line incorrectly.

ok now it's just getting plain ridiculous I followed everything in the guide accordingly and then i thought it worked till I launched the game....it won't launch it just says silkroad has encounter a problem and needs to close blahblahblah it does this everytime I launch the game

Hmm are you changing the right line? There's more than one "Chinese" line in the file.

tried it still doesn't work

and when I change it to english it seem's like it works bc I see that the divisions are written in english but same message pop's up when I change it
