Need Help for Csro

Hi i need help playing csro. i left my pc on last night to download the client from srocn.com (official csro site) and it was successful. when i try to run it i get something that looks like the launcher from isro but it is blank. there are 2 boxes on which is the blog and the other is like
???? ping ??
??? 200 ??
??? 224 ??
and its supposed to download the updates but its not. its just blank with the ping changing. so i follow a guide to hex edit it and i edit the media.pk2 and change the chinese to english but its still the same. i think i messed it up so i deleted the media.pk2 and replaced it with a copy of the original. i looked at TwelveEleven's guide it says i have to download her media.pk2 and overight mine but it also says you have to wait till it updates or you will be instantly disconnected. i waiting and the launcher is not updating.
can someone experienced guide me through the hex edit or point out the problems? i will provide screenshots if neccesary. thank you very much. i promise i will answer as many questions and help others who want to know about euro and later versions.
