Well, while i was lying dead in the road to Samarkand (Second euro town) i remembered the fun i had with Fatal some days ago. We ran from Samarkand to Hotan, through Taklamakan (using chars below lvl 10 so we could res ourselves). So i thought, wouldn't it be fun if we turn it into something bigger? So i proposed a guildmate to organize races from Constantinople to Hotan with noob chars. He suggested me to post it here so people interested could join.

So i am inviting you to the First Monthly cSRO Race (could be Weekly if it becomes popular) Organized by the Espada guild. I thought some routes:



If we gather enough people, the races would be in parties of 8 contestants, there will be guild members in the "checkpoints" which can be the cities and the ferries to be sure who got there in first, second and third place.

The places will be decided by a stall system on the checkpoints. In each checkpoint will be a guild member with a stall, the places will be decided by typing a message in there. The message will consist in the word "checked" if it's a checkpoint or "finished" if it's the finish. These "stallers" will also be party leaders. The participants must join a party with one of these and the staller must be sure the rules are followed (like the "stay on the road" rule), if someone doesn't follow the rules, then will be kicked out of the party and that way, he/she will know if was disqualified.

There will be prizes of gold mainly or better if anyone wants to donate a valuable item for the cause

I thought (remember we do this for fun mainly) that the priizes could be:
1st place: 50k gold
2nd place: 30k gold
3rd place: 20k gold

There's an additional prize of 100k gold for the winner, that will be donated by the MadeInChina guild.

Before starting we might ask an entrance fee of 5k or 10k (we can't cover all the money of the prizes with our own cash, because we are in the process of leveling the guild, but we could put most of it) to cover the prize expenses.

Post here to know if you like the idea, if you do, PM any of the members of Espada guild. Mainly CastrateYou, cin, nix or Hysteria.

Stalling elixirs i imagine hehe but you would need to be in a gate to notice who come in which place.

First we need contestants hehe, i'll check tomorrow because i need to go to sleep But mainly it will be waiting for them to arrive, and, if the race ends there, you'll give the prizes.

And you could be a contestant too i'd love to race you and see teh pwn defeated

The post says on Foot, besides, it's for char below level 10 so you can't ride horses.

Yeah don't forget to bring 2k or so for the ferries and the tunnel to Takla (1k should do it, but if we make a longer race, there will be more ferries, etc)

When we gather enough people to set a date. I was thinking this Wendnesday 27th at a time when most of us can be online.

there are no horses in this event, because max lvl is 10

I specified it was going to be Footrace with low level chars to res ourselves if we die.
And about the hours, it's just fun, like jobbing or exploring... good if you are a little bit bored of grinding (in my case, as a wizard i die somewhat often, so i get bored of that...).

I was planning to get lvl 1 chars only because at lvl 10 many builds get skills that can be unfairly used, like the speed buff of bards. The point is that all have the same conditions.

And 5 hours? I could do it in one hour...

and if the checkpoints are in non-mobs area's, then the checkpoints can stall there with an empty stall, one who comes by has to type something in it (same word/letter for everybody). So we know who has been everywhere.

For the finish the same principle can be used. The one who typed first in it wins

and for checking if he ran everything, it is really easy, just check if the name is in every stall/checkpoint

Woot! Yeah that's a wonderful idea... let me edit the map to check the possible checkpoints.


By the way, to make it easier, i wanted to set a "rule" so everyone uses the roads, because is very easy to take "shortcuts" and some people might try to be in the road because they don't know the map very well, an can fall far behind of someone who does.

Yeah i was going to update it when we set a date... stil haven't got enough people... I was thinking on this weekend because more people can play but i'm not sure...

That's kind of incorrect... currently the Union only holds MIC and Espada, and Espada is already giving the posted prizes.

Edit: i Edited the first post with the checkpoints on the map, and the stall system suggested by Nixweerd, besides the additional prize donated by MIC.
