With no lag you can get off 3 lion shouts faster than one nuke. You can also get off a lion shout as soon as a nuke makes contact leaving no time to pot.
I've experienced and witnessed many fights where all a int build would have needed to do was lion shout to beat a str. Yet, they go for another nuke, and either, get kded, stunned, critical, and die.

Sry?
Lion shout is (100%) and nuke is (300%), so casting time is the same. There is no way to have any exception here.

No, but you can easily do a nuke + shout + shout + shout and then nuke + shout + shout + shout leaving the enemy with lil time to pot.

I think he means that, instead of an all or nothing nuke attack, u would be able to get off 4th book lion shout (90 skills), 3rd book lion shout, or more, before u get kd/kb.
Does the percentage after the skill mean how long it takes to cast? I thought it was always the multiplier for base dmg.

he knows he's a goner anyway, pure int knows they're dead against only 1 glave, but 2, that's just too much for him, lol

Why don't you try it once. % does not always effect skill execution time. On some skills, its more so the damage multiplier than the execution time. The new book strongbow is still 350% but the charge time to attack is about 2 or 2.5 secs if I timed it correctly.

You can get off 3 shouts slightly faster than a nuke.
If one person nukes and the other keeps shouting, you can't pot off the damage of a nuke since shouts sort of cancel out pots due to the short period of time it takes to use.

I know. But in new skills in ksro are differents. Strongbow, antidevil... take only 2s. But in isro, the % is both casting time and multiplier.

That's only u feel it. I noticed a bit delay after u use lion shout skill...
***Note***: % is the time of execution of the whole animation, not the delay when one takes damage.
Wow, i never knew that strong bow has +10 crit and +4m range

Is that also true for combos?

I think the purpose of that nuker is to drain the glavier's pots.

Actually, its the same here also. If you count the time as soon your character begins to go into your anti devil animation, you will notice that the % is about .25 off if you are talking about time of execution. So the skills would be 175%, 225%, etc. Some animations tend to finish a bit faster or slower than the %. May be just a simple mistake by Joymax or done so to not amplify damage so much. NuclearSilo wrote:That's only u feel it. I noticed a bit delay after u use lion shout skill...
Whatever you say... Obviously many Koreans know so also because I I tried it myself and seen people who've managed to do so. Its hard to do with lag but I've seen it done.NuclearSilo wrote:***Note***: % is the time of execution of the whole animation, not the delay when one takes damage.
Damage is calculated before the last few vital frames of the animation are done. The rest of the frames are just filler.
This is why, if you get stunned near the last sec or so of strongbow, the opponent will still take damage. This is also why some experience that their character seems to stop responding before a nuke reaches them. As soon as the last necessary frames that need to take place are executed, the game disregards the frames that takes place afterward and has already marked the player as dead before the other frames are executed.
Back to the lion shout deal. There are many reasons to use lion shouts over nukes.
Depending on your luck with attack rating, 3 lion shouts can be just as fast and strong as one nuke.
If you're lion shouting you can adjust to current situations around you easily. If you're in the nuking animation, you're pretty much defenseless until the animation is done.
Lion shouts cancel out pots so while one person is doing damage you can be shouting to make sure they can't pot off that damage.

I find it really funny how people seem to think that lion shout is useless in pvp.... for pure int its actually an incredible useful move to stick in, even repeating many shouts in a row works fairly well, particularly when you think they are close to dying, since shout really isn't that weak if you have it maxed (as I have learned in Pacific)

all 3 lion shouts= nuke.
And its faster.

Maybe he was just playing around with the opponent?
I dont use lion shout but doesnt it lower parry? Perhaps since he didnt want to get in the action, he wanted to help out his friends on getting a stun or something?

light imbue lower parry, but I think he was using fire imbue (too lazy to check) if he was using light, it's a good way to inflict imbue

ya if he was using lightning imbue it would be way more effective. but i hardly doubt spammin lion shout will do anything to lvl 90 str player. since he has glaiver support he would've been better off hittin hard fast with nukes and phantoming away rather then jus stand there and do minimal damage

Lol, honestly thats all there is too it. Stop with the halfwitted theories.
1 Korean has fun with Lion Shouts and it's a case of omg lion shouts own.
It's like 70 cap all over again.

I think he was trying to get the hunters hp down to a certain point so the glaivier thieves could kill him with GSM and SSS

Actually, it isn't a theory but its been proven. 3 lion shouts is as fast and strong as one nuke and it doesn't leave you room time to pot off other damage. Besides, 1 korean? I haven't seen one that doesn't use lion shout.

true lion's dont let u pot off dmg, but it doesn't hit high enuf per to inflict major pain either, so if ur stunned or kded or such u wont get ur kill, lions and nukes must be used together
