It would be rather vanilla, some rate increases but minimal edits, etc. I'm trying to talk Fly into giving it a go but he doesnt think there are enough old school legits around to make it viable.

low rates and quest based would be awesome to enjoy leveling

I'd be down, if the balance is as good as the previous server.

If the concept is convincing, then yes. For me it's important to have a good balance between donators and non-donators. Everything should be obtainable through ingame activities, donators just get things done faster.

Others than that, BA and useful dungeons are a must for me. I'd love to see PTBA more often or something like PTSA. Also would be nice if a server's management would organize some innovative events and not always stupid unique events. I'd like to see PvP events that come in different modes: 1vs1 event, 4vs4 and/or 8vs8 PTPVP.

Yeah, id be down for a salvation reborn style server. I'm almost positive a lot of people would come back to it also, sro is nothing on the bot infested turkfests out there right now.

I agree. There is not even one server out there with a convincing concept. They all require you to make all activities to get your endgear instead of letting the players chose what way they prefer. On top they focus on selfish play with rewards for uniques, kills and CTF. And people wonder why everyone is either Warrior or Wizard.

Not to mention the massive amount of unnecessary edits (automatic events, 10 types of SoX, new glows). Some servers have too much content actually. They'd better save some of it for future updates.

As much as I love and miss sro, I just don't think a comeback is possible.

In the end what concept could it be that would make everyone play. Its the same game everyone knows no matter what they add, real issue is that there's just too many servers. New Salvation would not have enough players to support old style and adding botting would just change it into one of 1000 epvp ones. Silkroad players are getting older and barely anyone cares about being legit and all that jazz.

Remember it for what it was and move on.

Yes, people still play. Mostly on private servers. Some on that new EU-based Silkroad-R server.

Not much, just some irl stuff and been playing some other games. Was just checking here to see whats up.

Hey, I'd definitely join that, we tried redoing it with aristocrat but we never got beyond the pre pre alpha, Salvation was my best silkroad experience for over a year, I played it until it had less than 20 online player on average, and I'd play it again!

that's enough SRO for a lifetime.

Yes, please yes. I'd play on a real legit server just for the nostalgia. I'd help with host support too. Ikaras here. I guess not many (if any at all) remember me but I was the wiz/warlock at the start of the server that took first 4 unique kills ;P
