Hey there guys! Just wanted to come here to salute you and pass you on some knowledge someone passed to me!

A friend pm'd me about a new server coming out, i decided check it out just for the sake of it and finally.. after reading about it, it looks just like the perfect old school Silkroad server!

Stuff like jobbing, sox's, guild members and union spots, fw, alchemy, end game content. All those things and more have been adressed here!

I need advice on build for this 80 cap:
Going for an Hybrid Spear Fire 80
Should I go for light 70/Cold 70 or Cold 80/Light 60 ?

is this pure legit server? or same old bot fest?

It's safe to say that such thing as pure legit server does not exist and never will

i still think something more like phSro is our best bet, this server has A LOT of edits, something like 0.2x isro sun rates? we could go an entire year without anyone getting a sun.. but then they went ahead and edited the sox effects, sos is something like 72+1 som 72+2 sun 72+3 i think i read? i dont like that at all. I'm really looking for a very basic 80/90/100/110 cap with minimal customizations, a fortress, Eu & CH, and across the board rate increases, not lower than normal sox rates, if anything i think sox rates should be increased. Yeah eventually there would be a lot of suns around but isnt that a good thing? they'd be that much more accessible to someone who lets say doesn't play a whole lot and doesnt bot.

is anyone here interested in starting our own SRF server? maybe we could "crowd fund" it together? does anyone here have experience with server files?

I'm not sure I have the time to try and figure everything out myself, I've got a kid and I do a lot of side work for family / friends

Well I can't play here, server is located in France. Being from Venezuela, haven't got many issues with all other european servers other than minor lag problems but latency here for me is hellish. Sucks because I actually liked this one. Looking forward that SRF server.

SOX rate sucks, you're right. It's too low.
And the P2W items in item mall too.

you guys are aware low sox rates just makes it so there's better pvp competition right?.........

And the p2w items are adjusted so they're not p2p at all, you just gotta read the Farking thread lol

in fact if you analyze these features and see what's the return in terms of gameplay, it's perfect, i'm testing it and it's lovely so far

I think low sox rates are a good thing too. Also no elixir stacks and tablets = no more auto alchemy to an extent so you have to patiently work your stuff out. And you can buy Silk with gold making it pretty much play2win.

Sad that I can't play here due to heavy lag I get.

To be honest, I will have to agree with IceCrash that this server seems pretty perfect.

They lowered the Pay2Win element by e.g. making Premium 5% (and reduced luck increase from 5 to 3%) rather than 10%, and selling silk scrolls in-game for gold.

Also, while there will certainly be bots, the HWID limit is 1, which means people can only launch the game once.

I won't be there, retiring from Silkroad again and moving back to Playstation.

Epaa.. The server is going great but they just set their ip limit to 10, and they got expensive prices for silk and have a past of milking money as well.. Not looking good for me to be honest.

Guessing that's to cater for the cyber café people? Or just if you play Silkroad with more people in the same house. The hwid limit is still 2, which means you can only launch 2 clients on one PC.

I don't play here, but the ip limit of 10 is not a big issue, as long as hwid is 2 (at least in my opinion).

wow i just joined here 2 days ago and its like iam back in 2006
we already joined with 20 ppl from terminus. rates are low and its fun to see the whole map filled.

about the silk prices, they got lowered and you have several ways to gain them ingame. alchemy rate and sox rate got lowered but thats good. everyone will run with +5 sets and weapon which sounds like fair competition.

yeah, maybe i was being pessimistic, because the server is great and i really wanna play in it, lvl 64 so far : p

not too happy with the server, the silk prices are horrible, the achievement rewards are a nice idea but not finished yet. i don't like how it supports high lvls killing low lvl uniques. not a fan of ch only but i can live with that. don't care for the old alchemy glows, dont care for the mana shield balancing. don't like that they nerfed the devil spirit so hard but still charge a huge price for it, also the premium. i'm only here for the community i guess. i know a lot of people on the server. back to square one imo

i've quit it alredy, couple things were a turn off to me that didn't make it worth it

i'm not the kind of guy who wants to play on a server where i gotta leave my pc on 24/7 and bot 24/7 to compete, nah uh, the server ain't focused on jobbing enough for me, i guess there'll never be an old school server focused on jobbing so i'm pretty much out of luck.. this and the community didn't feel right, i didn't fit in with the guild i was in, wrong sense of humour, meh

we gotta make our own server, i'm tellin ya. i wish i had the time and money

hm i dont get your problem. botting is just a slow way to compete. the server is 100% job based. but maybe you quit before ppl had their fb sets. we have nice jobwars every day. 3-5 big unions doing trades and trying to rob each other.

i wonder in which guild u been in. anyways its still worth to start here and have some fun. get yourself a +5 set make it fb and start joining the big fights just like in the old days.
