How much bandwidth do you need..

To run a server? Lets say with 1000 slots. Anyone have any data on that?

hell no to run 1000 people it would take a MINIMUM of about 200 mbps and even then it would lag quite a bit

when talking about anything outbound only upload matters here , for most ppl upload is considerably less then there download speed less then 10% in some countrys , me for example i hv 20mb d/l but only 768k upload

I have cable, 24 mb/sec down and 6-8 mb/sec upload. so clients download is my upload.
Thinking about jumping to fiber so I can get better upload. CenturyLink won't give me specifics, though I am thinking probably 15-20 mb/sec upload/download.

i was thinking to make a server with my mate . But truly after so many Private Servers it has no meaning anymore ...
I would rent Dedi Box To run server proberly but all to the past :p
