why dont they group up teams from 3-5 top servers and make 1 massive server with eachothers help?

Actually even if it wouldn't be for money, i doubt it would work. There are different oppinions about private servers and just because one person thinks that this is "the best" private server ever another person might disagree and say it's just lame. Some people want the rates as high as possible to cap out and farm nova equip, others prefer to enjoy the leveling process and don't really want to be capped in 2 days. Really, i don't think there is something like "the best" private server and in my oppinion it's good there are so many private servers around. Like that everyone can pick the server, which is "the best" in his own oppinion.

first off that coulnt and wouldnt work
to get a server that would hold say 10k players would take a shit ton of money (scuse my language) and ofc there would be the problem of getting a connection fast enough to handle 10k players

No as in they keep under the same team and make 4 servers 2.5k each but the same private server itself

and what would you gain by that?

a solid team who can keep a good pserver with different rates per server etc

Try pming every private server to merge, and see what answer they give you.
