How hard is it to make a private server on SRO?

I have a pretty nice dedicated server box hosted in London, UK and I would like to make one.


I would like to create a PVP only server, all chars are capped and manyangs drop x100 11d drops?

Well, there are tons of emulators out there. Especially if you head over to elitepvpers. Ton's of guides as to how to set it up as well. I've tried it but yeah, it was an old emulator version so it sucked monkey balls.

Starting an emulator server isn't gonna work as well as zszc does or ecsro did. Far from, actually. Even the best emulators out there still lag quite some functions, and there are tons of fixes yet to be done.


However, as you're thinking about starting a pvp-only server, an emulator might actually be able to do. I've seen emulators where close to all skills works nearly 100%. But yeah, you better go check it out yourself.
As I said, you will be able to find guides explaining how to make a registration page for your server over at epvpers as well.

I was reading up about Srevolution Emulator, is this the best one out there?, look's pretty simple to setup etc but does look like there is a lot of bugs.

Is there anyone here with some experience on how to set pservers up that could maybe help me out?

Go check Epvpers silkroad section. They have a ton of guides to help you set just about any kind of emu/server up that you wish.. if it exist to the public.

I did once. It worked jut fine. Skills didn't work all too well but other then that it worked just fine.

However I did have to set up hamachi to connect to it myself. Otherwise I could of just froward the ports and no worries.
