What is the current status of SRO private servers?

I've recently decided to play SRO again, and since iSRO is terrible as always, I'm considering playing on a private server.
Can someone give me a quick overview of the more stable/popular private servers? All of these "New ABCSRO!" posts are quite confusing since I've been away for so long.
& I know ecSRO is defunct, what about eSRO, SWSRO, etc etc?

Why hai dar Sae
You missed the SRF ZSZC bandwagon by a long shot. It's pretty much Azteca on isro. I think VGCF still plays on there. Not sure about other Valhalla members though.
EDIT: And hito/Tom (at least if I remember correctly >.>)

and thing is, there's no longer only one reason (community) to play sro.
sro's been improved a lot, specially with the new job update... it's gonna be intense (at all levels, pvp, lvling, and jobbing)
lemme just say that nowadays, even with an euro, you can pretty much solo fast with quests, won't say any more :p

I'm 32 on Azteca. Parties below Penons and PEGS are non-existent, and even though quests are improved it is not in the least bit enjoyable solo grinding a warrior. It's also not nearly enough to catch up to the parties.
I understand there are waves of people that come and go, but if I'm forced to solo most of the time I'd like to do it on a character that is actually fun (chinese) where my limited play time will have an affect (increased EXP private server).

so - make a sung party, ask for ints? ask for it to be union'd. There are still some people in the 30's and 40's. Or go on a FW run once you hit 35. That helps.
I saw at least two sungs parties - one legit for sure - last night in matching. Past that it's probably going to be bunwangs.

This is not my first time around the block, I know how things work. That sungs party was probably the one I had union'd that turned into a 20 minute power party then died. Every other party I've created and advertised attracted mostly non-union idiots.
This is not a thread about Azteca. I work full time and go to school; I don't have time to sit around waiting for parties that never happen. Go advertise in an appropriate thread, I'm looking for private servers here.
DAMN YOU HITO, DAMN YOU.

I agree.
Well ESRO/Zelos (their rename) died because their programmer left. So it really just leaves ZSZC and SWSRO. unless you want to play one of the billion of servers that are sprouting up because of the release of an emulator.

Let her go hunt for a pserver again, and get bored again, don't bother trying to save her the time with your "advertising" E. Even though she'd be better off making a chinese on isro and soloing when she can, and catching a party possibly when there is one.

I pass on a Chinese on a server with Euros. As quoted on South Park, 'Wuteva, I do wut I want, Hito!'
I'm not whining or hating. The best time I had on this game was before Euros existed and on a Chinese private server. Sorry, I'm looking for a similar experience.

Pick a guild that's most appropriate to your character and time zone. If the one you prefer is full, you can still ask people from other guilds to join you, just so you can read union chat. You can always switch guilds later.
There is quite a bit of traffic and party discussion in union.
Oh, and for ease of Euro partying, Ventrilo is quite useful.

Sae! I don't even remember what name I had back then, maybe it was Dyegov, but I was indeed on Valhalla. I was the guy with the accent in vent that VG called die@diegov or something like that

I tried azteca and died of boredom on all the grinding on x1 rates...

ZSZC was decent the first time around but it was nowhere as great as ECSRO. ZSZC blows with much of the population botting and corrupt GM staff. Seriously give Azteca another chance and jump to 35 and we'll do some Forgotten Worlds. I know the pain of soloing with a warrior and no partying and had to rely on CTF to level up for many days because of the damn event.
Private servers are dead and foreign versions are difficult to deal with. Everyone you know is on isro.

I miss Fembria. There aren't any private servers that works as well as Fembria did.

Yeah, I really miss Fembria too.

HI DYEGOV! I remember you, of course! How are you doing?
@VGCF/Ray - I really only have about 2 hours a day to play (and this is on a good day when I'm not exhausted), and no parties at all makes it impossible to make a dent in my exp bar. I can't play nearly as much as I could before, I don't have time at all to play on most weekends even. /sae sigh

I wanna join azteca now, **** zszc. Has anybody got a download for the latest isro client that is broken down to maybe 4 or 5 pieces? every time i try to download from official links it crashes at 95%....very annoying!
Edit: And @ Sae...fembria was awesome indeed, i remember the valhalla guild. for a pserver ecsro was fun, zszc just seems dead. Are you guys playing at azteca now then? I failed to read the above.....to busy to sit and read the whole page

Azteca is cool; too bad you gotta no life it to be one of the higher levels, unless you've got a steady group on your time zone, like Fly & nightbloom's.
