Hey so i basically followed these steps:

1. downloaded part 1 and part 2

2. extracted both into the same folder.

3. downloaded 1.677 patch. Extracted it into the same folder.

4. installed 1.677 patch.

5. ran silkroad.exe but no updates, servers, or start button showed up.

Run the patch!

i did run the patch! haha it was vers 1.668 then i ran patch and now its 1.677. thats all it does rite?

so, u ONLY downloaded patch 1.677?
u have to run ALLLLLLLLLLL the patches one by one so it works

dude r u serious??? what patch does it start at? 1.669 - 1.677 one by one?

EDIT: installed patches 1.675 and 1.676. Same problem...

Server is on 1.678 atm if i'm not mistaken. Go to the ZSZC Forums: http://silknation.primarygaming.net/forum.php and go to the "News" section and there should be a thread like: "All Downloads Needed" just download everything from there it should work...

EDIT: STILL NOT WORKING WTF!!

so i redownloaded the whole thing from silknation. i extracted them, downloaded patches 1.675 - 1.678 and executed them. i ran the application, chose a server, and pressed start. i got this dumb box again!!

The client gives the link to download the latest patch. You dont have to do them one by one... just latest one. Thats how I did it, no problems for me.

yeah i did it ur way first and it didnt work.

im using windows vista, idk if that makes a difference?

Either you not doing what you say your doing, or you completely retarted. It's not a hard task to download the client and install a patch, let's get real here.

Did you download BOTH parts (1, and 2) of the client? and did you run the patch (1.678) once you extracted it into your ZSZC folder?

this is exactly what i did:

downloaded both parts
extracted part 2 into part 1
downloaded patch 1.678
extracted it into the same folder.
executed and intalled it.
changed all of my .exe to run as windows service pack 2 and as an administrator.
launched the app.
pressed start.
got the box.

reinstall the entire cilent. install first, dont update. make sure to delete the zszc folder and make a new one. after installing run the patch.
