lyzerk was one of the main people in coding an emulator for SRO. I don't think he's spamming....... Merely informing us of his project.

Yeah Lyzerk has been around for years working on sro emulator. I've actually been waiting to see if his project would succeed or not.

Nice to see he has an official forum and site now.

Lyzerk seems to have the same problem as eSRO, hasn't figured out aggro yet.

aggro is simple, the other AI we have already done is much more complex. Aggro is just

mob_range = 40;
if(ObjectPos < mob_range) {
mobattack();
}

Well I am noob at C++, but it would not be very complex, that is just a sample of how noobish you COULD write it, although it can depend on the mob size, so .bms models would come into account and server would need to read them. It is not that important, these small things are just fine tweaks for later.

What is there to figure out about it?

i dont think mob size is factored in.

well bigger mobs generally have a larger radius, than a mangyang.

that may be the case, but i have always felt more closterphobic around larger mobs cause it seems like they attack sooner. i have seen a mangyang champ come limping at me from pretty far. they should factor it in, but i dont think they did.

The agro is due to too few information. I couldn't find the agro column in the Characterdata yet, it might be in it but I will find it soon. I will fix the mobsize bug soon. I'll inform you about new stuff..

there is no aggro table in characterdata column lyzerk, you will have to write it out yourself and research it yourself.

I don't have time to look through the pk2 files. I thought there was a agro column.

I'm looking for someone who can sniff packets from kSRO and analyze them. It's hard and time-consuming to work on the server and sniff the packets at the same time. That's why I'm looking for somebody who'd like to do this for me.

You can contact me through this e-mail: admin@arcane-project.net

not sure if these kinds af requests are appropriate for this forum...

that isnt the point. im pretty sure packet sniffing, and the discussion of said actions is wrong. i may be incorrect. dont think im trying to dull anyones shine here.

same thing esro, tsro, zsro, zcsro, sdsro, msro, vnsro.... and every (x)sro has been doing =D

I don't think it applys for TSRO, CSRO, VSRO, etc. as they are official SRO versions for certain countries, which means no packet sniffing needed, as they get the files from Joymax. For Pservers, you are probably right.
