u misunderstood something "ON THIS FORUM 3'rd party programs for sro IS ILLEGAL check the RULES, we don't care what other sites say !

actually because its legal in ecsro its legal here. this is not GD this is not isro we do not follow the same rules as isro. if this was about isro then there would be issues but its not.

Learn to search. I'm sure there have been numerous threads about this either here on SRF or on the ECSRO forums.

i remember a topic about someone asking something about a bot for sjsro no one was banned the topic was just closed to avoid issues....

its up to the mod that sees this to decide because its an ify topic.

You will not be banned here if you bot on sjSRO since it is allowed there, same goes with the no-dc client for ECSRO, it's legal there and because it's legal here.

guys I just quoted the rules, but since it isn't defined in a specific mather how to react on those situations I asked a mod to help us here solve this topic problem !

On a personal opinion I think it's still ileegal here since on this forum people have been banned due using of bots, and also got 1 weeks banned due to using loaders...sro is still sro not to talk about the difference betwen isro/ksro/csro and private servers

DUDE there is NO situation u dont need the dc client for it to work its just more convieniant to log in and its LEGAL and even ECSRO THEMSELVES PUBLISHED ONE, but they havnt updated it! LOADERS ARE ILLEGAL AND NO DC ARE LEGAL GOD DAMIT!

Actually i didnt selfspwn myself...
as i said, the no-dc is not even a program u open to play, it doesnt even have an interface or something, its just a modification someone made to the "silkroad.exe" to dont disconnect when u get the traffic error, damn it! its legal! its not a program!

Oh and yes about my "selfpwn".. mine stopped working cuz the mods updated a bunch of shits! and it replaced my "no-dc/silkroad.exe"... and now when i clicked the SRO_Client.exe to open the game, the old no-dc that i had doesnt even load the launcher of the game! so i had to delete it and use a non "no-dc" silkroad.exe file... thats all! selfpwn? where? its legal on ecsro!

Thanks guys for bringing this topic to my attention. After
some thought on this, the official stance is that 3rd party
programs and such are not allowed on srf. I don't care if
this version of sro allows it, an altered client or anything
like it will not be tolerated on these boards. if in an
other version, botting would be legal as mentioned in this
topic, would that mean that bot sites would be handed out in
this section? no. same goes for these altered clients or 3rd
party software.

I will not hand out any bans nor warnings in this particular
topic because the rules seem to have been a bit grey towards
this issue, but you guys can be sure next time measures will
be taken.

To add to this post, i will add a sticky containing the forum's
official stance on this matter so in the future, mistakes will
be prevented from happening.
