After I select a character it loads hotan and then the screen suddenly goes back the desktop, I'm not in a bugged location because I am at the respawn point of hotan. I already have the new media.pk2 also. I have it in running in compatibility mode for windows xp and I already tried reinstalling the client. My graphics card driver is up to date. Here are my specs

windows vista x64 home premium
4Gig Ram
radeon 4670 512mb
AMD anthon 64x2 dual core 6000+ ~3.0GHz

It worked before and now it has suddenly stopped! I haven't updated windows or any driver which would make it stop and I don't have a virus or anything like that.

Can someone send me download links for the new media.pk2 so I can make sure that isn't whats wrong?

It didn't work

In my ecsro folder I have that media.pk2 above, a particles.pk2 file which is dated 1/10/2009, and a settings folder which keeps my settings. Is there anything else that I am supposed to put in there?

Try to login using another char, it it works successfully it means that it's a server problem with your. In this case, contact the admin to resolve, move or reset your char

is it just me or since the new update it's been laggier and more dc's?

i've been experiencing a bunch of that and had virtually none before the update and i've updated the media.pk2 already.

I just needed the data.pk2

I got the same problem on my laptop, I got all the latest files but it still doesn't work >.<

And same fore Mirosuke, that nub. His always crashes too =[
