Hi guys i've also posted on the ecsro thread , unfortunately noone replied and yeah , i got the directx 9.0b error and also tried running in windows compability mode im currently using Windows XP , and i search directx 9.0b in google to download it incase for it to work , but tht dindt work either it said i alredy have a higher updated version (directx10) So yeah ? what should i do i really want to play XD?

Are you using Laptop/Notebook?

Right click, Properties, Compatability, [tick] Run this program in compatability mode for. Select Windows XP.

I think that was one of the answers related to the problem you're having.

nah man using desktop , yeah i did it... let me try compability mode..in XP before i click on windows 95 in comapbility mode.

Its just like that but note its Windows XP im using and i also followed the steps on sroaddiction.com and in compability selection part it dont have Windows XP it have Windows 98 And Me I tried in that it still dont work ..

Are u sure that u´re running Windows XP?
Cuz that Vista skin makes me whondering.

Ofc i know that, otherwise i wouldnt have said "vista skin"

But boij7 may have Vista, but thougt its XP, who knows.

www.silkroadaddiction.com that is the same problem i have but in silkroadaddiction site they say if you use Vista then go compability mode and click windows XP , but they dont mention the problem for XP

Well, i use xp also, and I had the same problem. I run it as windows 95/98, and works great.

Are you sure you right clicked "sro_client" not "silkroad Online launcher"

Unfortunatley it is not i keep getting the same error over and over ... i did it to sro_client properties run as windows 95 , it still dont work..

or should i right click my shortcut icon

I am so heart broken i really wanted to try out ecsro , but when i searched my problem it said you have to format your computer to work .. why =( Directx10 is supposed to be compatible with this >.< but it keeps saying need 9.0b or over version and it dont work :( im so heart broken i wish ... it would work. *SIGH*

Just download dx 9.0c lulz, I did have that error too once.

If you are using Windows XP then you aren't using DX10. Just update your DX9 from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... ee9e21b282.

But when i click , Start > run > type dxdiag it shows up DirectX10 is there lol

And if i did download Direct x9.0c it says i already have a higher version installed and dont need this one.

wut? u have windows xp and dx10? That can't be good lolz, uninstall directx10 and install the 9.0c, should be fine then
