Ok so i just started playing on Fembria,decided too make a nuker.
I get to level 20 and realise theres no snow shield *_*.
So my question is,are nukers any good without snow shield?
From my experence in isro nukers without it die in 1 hit.

Depending on how Hybrid you are. Nukers used to survive just fine before Snow Shield as they relied much more heavily on gear as opposed to being farmed.

Well i am going for a s/s nuker 5:1 90 fire,70 light 70 bitch 70 light
Never seen a nuker survive without snow shield(or any str i pvp for that matter).I stsrted at 80 cap^^

You talk as if Nukers are useless without snow. That is not true. I had a 7x pure int and pvp without snow wasn't that bad at all. For a change I didn't win all the time.

Well its just from my personal experence,nukers have never stood a chance against me with out snow or most str for that matter :/
So was just curious to see if a nuker is playable with out snow,
didnt want to find out after i spent time lvling one

With a good gear nukers are fine. My lvl 78 did pretty fine without snowshield.

From Personal experience:

Pure int Spear with average gear = get owned in PvP and could die in PvE when mob crits (giants).

Pure int Spear with FB gears = Ok at PvP, good at PvE.

Pure int s/s with average gear = alright at PvP and PvE

Pure int s/s with FB gears = Very good at PvP and PvE.

Without snowshield, I would recommend pure int s/s or hybrid int spear.

Hybrids Spears were doing pretty well before snow shield.

BTW, anyone knows if we are getting snow shield... like ever?

A 7:1 is not bad. I would recommened having a 96% int balance for that build. And wear armor.

being a hybrid and having shield on top of it, you should be more then fine. really work to have a nice shield, the difference it makes is massive. Im assuming when you listed 70 light twice you meant ice, and that is another big help for you also. You'll be more then fine. It was really not as much skill needed to play the character with a snow shield, which some prefer but personally i loved my hybrid int before snow shield was made. You should be fine, dont worry

It's good, but don't go Armor.
You should go Prot or Garms.
On VIP there are no nukers in Armor.

Some decked out Protector is your best friend

Just tough especially without that extra skill bar. Still getting used to just using F bars again

I'm making a full int s/s nuker 90 bicheon/light/cold and I have been doing great. Well, PvE at least, too low to try PvP yet (lvl 29 ... ALMOST THERE OH MIGHTY NUKE!!! xDDD)

I'm sorry to say, but you will regret that build choice on ecsro. Light/cold/wep doesn't work very well there, just add fire in there as your main and you should b e fine though.

just know that when it comes to a glaviers have a good gear , you will still be 1crit and 2 hitted , no matter what ;p
same gear glavie usually wins ..

same as for me having my sun 52+9 spear before , i had alot of hp , but pvping with glavier same set as me and spear sun 52+9 he was killing me and letting no chance to win :p

Yes... on iSRO... wep-light-cold on ecsro is FAIL, why take wep-light-cold when you can take wep-fire-light-cold ?

Because fire gives physical attack, which we don't need... so it's pretty much useless. Last nuke maxed hits harder than any fire nuke, so I don't see the reason for it. And no, most people I talked to was on ECSRO not here

non ononononon i mixed those too , i actually meant hybrid would 1 crit 2 hit it

Im lvl 67 full int s/s and gonna be 90 fire/ 70 bicheon/ 70 cold/ 70 lightning. I have no problem at all. PvP goes fine and I don't die too much at PvE (sometimes when I get too much mobs one me but it's pretty rare). In fact I took down one s/s nuker and one spear nuker at same time (they were both same lvl as I am).

The fire nukes (not the last one) hits harder, the imbue is better and you get mag defence... Nukers NEED fire on ecsro.

Maybe state at what lvl they need it? Because my lvl 70 friends say they haven't ever need it, and neither have I

I might be wrong, but if you are full int your going to use nuke + lion shouts at PvE, nothing more.
So, if you don't have fire on ecsro, you will suck at PvE, cause all you got is 1 good nuke and 1 shitty nuke, but you obviously need 2 nukes to grind, at least I think so.
On isro you have a lvl 70 light nuke also, but here, you don't have it, so fire is a must for good PvE I think.

Now that's a good illustration of th situation. I can kill mobs with my 2 nukes, wich only take 2 seconds more. Sure, it's a little bit slower, but I still do good on pve (Kill, lvl and farm fast).

instead of 70 light take 70 spear

1k+ hp passive +ghost spear +soul spear = pwnage in pvp

instead of taking 70 spear, take 90 spear lol, 2,5k hp + attacks maxed = even more pwnage

If you're into pvp, make a glaiver. STR based builds are way better in PVP, compared to nukers.
