hey my friend has been trying to dl ecsro for a while now each time she tries from different links it always seems to contain a trojan,the anti virus is avg is it just this that picks up these trojans, think someone can give me some advice or a link that they know 100% doesnt contain one plz

They're 100% clean

that was the 1st one we tried so it must be avg thats bugged maybe?

Read ecsro forum, AVG WILL pick up the silkroad client as a virus(although it does not have), you need to put the path in the list of exceptions to run the game

I had this problem aswell, but with Macafee, and i couldn't take it out of quarantine so i had to uninst macafee ^^

I also ran the client throuhg http://www.virustotal.com/ and 14/34 antivirus scans showed it as containing a generic artimus trojan...

Also i was talking to a few people on winmx chat, who sujested that it could be being used to steal creditcard details which are then sold over the internet... :S

No idea at all but im currently playing ecsro without an antivirus on my system and im lil bit worried bout it's content.
