Problem solved:
If anyone is having issues disconnecting when selecting character follow this guide.
1. Right click silkroad.exe > click properties > Compatibility > Run Compatibility for Windows NT 4.0(Service pack 5)
> Check Run Program as Administrator > Click Apply > Click Ok.
3. Start Client> and it should load fine.
