If that 'Bless Spell+Skins' is a problem, it could be made so that when the first one is cast, then casting the other one will cancel the first one. It would require more work, but it might make more people happy. And maybe reduce Skin duration as well a bit.

just a random thought you can take it how you want it:

what if you gave bless a longer duration, and shorter cooldown BUT, you also drastically reduced its benefit. say... cut the phy and mage defence it gives you by half. same thing for skins and such.

this way you could still use bless to pull huge groups of mobs for pts but it would be way less effective in pvp and maybe people then would stop whining about it.

Bless is going to be 25 seconds in the patch, it should be a lot better. All of these suggestions people are throwing out have been made already on the official forums.

For people starting up here as euro: LESS rogues, MORE bards please!

I understand the frustration of being low with no sustainable parties, but soloing (especially with 4x rates + quests) is not nearly as unbearable as it seems. I solo'd quite a bit between 1-40 as a cleric/bard. The key to finding good parties is your guild/union, especially since the population is low. Get into one of the active ones (not sure if there are more than 2 unions atm). Just tonight some of us in my union who are around 60 helped some 3x/4x people catch up to us.

My point is... salvation is fun times.

Yeah salvation really is fun times. I have the impression to know 90% of the people on the server, and that's great. It's like playing with only friends. Makes me remember the 60 / 70 cap

The server is great indeed. Ok, you've got to grind solo a lot of the time, but I think the rates are high enough to grind fast without getting bored. Yesterday there was a unique event (I killed cerberus, yay!) and after that I got into a Isy-party and a penon-party. Good times, great community.

And I found a sun 42 blade :sohappy:

did you not see this coming from the get go? most of the people on this server have been together for years and it seems that anyone knew is just an outsider who THEY allow to play with them for the sake of making THEIR server more populated.

us outsiders will quickly become their new turks.

I joined the so called "l33t" group at Azteca and they didint treat me like a turk even though they played together for years on Venus. All you have to do is get in vent, get to know people and not act like a turk, not that hard.

Anyone new on that ventrilo, I said hello to last night - which one were you? I saw at least two new people when I got on. I think three people were in a party or maybe BA, there was some complaining about one guy who wasn't buffing right.

There was a penons party, so when there is one we try to stay in the same channel for easy communication. It's tough to hold a conversation at the same time. Nothing personal.

And while I played with the BH/Asylum folks on Azteca, I was once an "outsider" too. Big deal, it takes time. I talk to them and they talk to me, we're all having fun.

And1 is me, when i was on they were trying to do a niya pt and were getting about 25 free personal unique spawns. I am wondering now if it was problem on my end because i was talking the whole time and never got a response, maybe two words the whole time. The last time i was in vent while playing sro i had a problem where it would not let me talk unless my sro was in windowed mode. I had that problem fixed but have since then gotten a new computer so maybe that problem is back now? Who knows.

You have to run it as admin or your PTT button wont work.

Oh yeah, I saw you when I came in. There were two or three people talking, I just assumed it was you and Narc, then Turvin would chime in occasionally. I like to run SRO in fullscreen, so I didn't really look.

As stated above, gotta run Vent as admin - at least on Windows 7

The server reset this morning made bless 30 seconds and fixed warlock sleep-trap combo. and im enjoy the server just fine being a solo char without guild or clique.

CBkilla is referring to the messed up stories of past Avalon exploits. LOL

Make them all tell Chronic's cake joke, or the noob who ran around Don 5 times story or how Bob scammed an entire server. (nightbloom loves those stories, ask when she is in channel)

Any group that has been together for 6+ years is going to be familiar with each other and be a little clannish seeming to the outside at first. Just be cool, dont be annoying, dont ask for much and blend in for a bit, it wont take long till you are one of the clan. ALL guilds are like that but old ones are a bit harder. SD, BH, Ava, Midnight (founded by RL friends), Notorious (mostly Avalon members since Fly and nb wont allow an Avalon guild on server)... these are all very old guilds at heart and most are TS or Vent using. Just join and say hey.
