CAU8SE IDF YOU ARE I'M INB
Well, let's wait and see what happens. The GM said he'd try to re-engage old players and bring in new ones in a few weeks. He's just making sure everything works 100% (he recently installed a new filter to improve security even further).
The best thing about the server is that it uses the JSRO files, which means no bots exist at all.

Ye, true. That's why he's considering doing a revive of the server. Many people think it has closed down, which it actually never did.
Right now, I'm just having a great time on Silkroad-R Ephesus, though. And then lurking around to see what will happen with this private server of his.
What a coincidence I just logged in on simply again yesterday and today. Still a good server, just lacks people of course and some end-game content beside trading would be nice.
Previously known as Natsuyo. Unfortunately I lost access to my old account.

Oh really? Nice.
What's your level and cap there? Not that I play at the moment - playing on Ephesus and having a blast with the most active legit guild I've been in in ages. But still curious.
I still have my original level 90 character from back when the server was active. It's not FF though. Grinded a bit, but there's no real point. Mostly been leveling some alts on uniques, which I'll probably never end up using.
Pretty impressed it's still running after all this time with almost no one online. Would be better if something was done to draw new players to it though.

I am quite sure something is still going on behind closed doors. The owner told me that he'd be working on a re-announcement of the server at some point.
They did open a new forum yesterday, so something might indeed be up. Don't really see why they'd bother otherwise as the server rarely reaches 10 characters online simultaneously and the forums were even less popular.
Would be nice if they did do something. Did post some small suggestions on their new forum. Not sure if it will matter though, they usually said something if they liked your idea before, but never actually made any changes.

They just added some polls on their forum asking some things. - Whether or not they should wipe. (Complete wipe/level wipe/no wipe) - Whether they should move from JSRO to BRSRO (100 cap) files.

Keypressers are useless and dumb anyway. Doesn't matter if people use them, does it?
I mean, all they do is press the skill buttons, eh? I don't use them and I don't think people should use them. But I also don't mind too much. It doesn't do anything to ruin the game for me like a true bot would.
IceCrash wrote:key pressers + auto attack are equal to a bot mate
Yes, but there isn't any auto attack in WarriorsWay, is there? Even if there is, what makes a bot a horrible thing is the looping. With that, the bots will start generating way more gold than is realistic, effectively ruining the game. A keypresser can't / won't do that.
RedSnake wrote:can u name one non bot private server plz, I wanna play in server without bots..... miss salvation
WarriorsWay doesn't have bots. It's your best bet, honestly.
What's the point of botting? you're playing to hang out with friends and do something fun (Not that I can say sro is "fun", personally). I never understood this bot logic.
Must be PvP related? Someone wants to be the best on a server? Psh. But even still PvP seems based on how many pots someone has. It just comes off pointless to me.
Then there is the bot hunting, which I find the only thing fun in sro. Pissing off a cheater and getting awesome gear in the process. It felt so rewarding.
IceCrash wrote:There's a way to add auto attack to the client?
Haven't you read how most of their level 90's got capped?
Read where? I honestly don't think it's via using auto select and a keypresser. It'd make more sense if it was through an actual bot (if not just the legit way?).
The GM posted this in the server-thread: "Function 'UIIT_CTL_AUTOSELECT' is removed from our game client.Even if you can added somehow you need to modify the game files which is not allowed by server rules.Even enabled the function 'UIIT_CTL_AUTOSELECT' its not very useful because the range of auto select is too small, the mob must be near the character in other way its not selected. To modify the range you must use a memory patcher with the correct offset for the game client. The client is packed and any try for debug/modify memory of the game client is reported and logged.Using a memory patchers and any modification of the game client is against server rules too and is treated like abnormal program use-ban."
