Latest news: Video Contest!

Did you just kill a unique mob, have you won a guild war, or did you just tank Demon Shaitan?
I’m sure all players have something to brag about, and here’s your chance to show it to the world, while also having the chance of winning 15.000 silk!

All you have to do is create a video, promoting this server. Sounds easy, right? Well, it actually is!
1. Capture in-game footage of you playing on our server / pvp’ing / jobwar / events etc.
2. Mix it together and upload the final video to Youtube.
3. Post a link to the video as a reply to this thread.

That’s it! The event starts right now and runs till the 10th of July, which should give you all more than enough time to get a video mixed and uploaded.

There are a few rules to follow when creating your video. It’s important that you comply with these rules. If you fail to do so, you will be disqualified from the contest!
- The name of the video on Youtube has to mention the name of the server. You could for example write: “Silkroad Revelations oldschool server” or “SRO Revelations oldschool server”.
- You have to mention the rates of the server along with the qualities of the server. Basically, explain why you like playing on this server (for example: oldschool, jsro files, cap etc.).
- The video has to be at least 30 seconds long

How is the winner chosen?
By the 10th of July, all videos that follow the rules will be looked through by the Silkroad Revelations team. We will judge the video based on several factors such as creativity, humor, content and scenery. Please note that this means you do not need to have the best video editing skills to win the contest. The idea values more than the perfection of the editing.

So, what can I win?
We believe that you should be generously rewarded for the time you spend on creating a video about our server! Behold; the prizes:
1st prize = 15.000 silk + 200m gold
2nd prize = 10.000 silk + 100m gold
3rd prize = 5.000 silk + 50m gold

It has its ups and its downs.

Lack of players is a huge downfall for this server at the moment, but other than that its a nice server. There are a few "questionable" players, typical people who get angry over things that are completely idiotic, such as a few days ago there was someone getting mad that the GM wasn't up at an absurd time doing an event, but you'll find those everywhere.
I say give it a try, you'll probably end up stickin around.

ALSO! Some sweet PVP tournament is coming up! Read this:

Dear players, it is our pleasure to announce that we are now ready to start the first Silkroad Revelations PVP-tournament. And we have some great prizes up our sleeves for the best players!
First, however, let’s get to the details:
- The tournament will be able to hold 20 players. First come, first serve.
- Each player will fight a minimum of 3 battles.
- You get 1 point for winning a battle and 0 points for losing one.
- Once everyone has thought 3 battles, the winners will go to the next round. So on and so forth till there are only 2 players left.
- Before the tournament starts, you will be able to see who you are going to battle against in your first battles. This will be announced on the website. So stay tuned!

What do I have to do when?
- You will have to register for the tournament before the July 8th. Registration: PVP TOURNAMENT
- The tournament will be held at the July 10th.

Rules:
- The GM’s are the ultimate judges. You HAVE to listen to their decisions! To avoid any troubles, your account will be suspended if you fail to listen to what the GMs’ says.
- No swearing or bad words. Basically, just don’t insult others. Failing to obey this rule may lead to disqualification from the tournament!
- Most importantly of all: Remember to have fun

Prizes:
1st prize: The grant prize is a wooping 15 Euros paid via Paypal! + 15.000 silks + selected SOS +0 9 degree npc juves part.
2nd prize: The second prize is 10.000 silk + selected SOS +0 9 degree npc juves part.
3rd prize: The third prize is 5.000 silk + selected SOS +0 9 degree npc juves part.
