Why? because you obviously have not read the topic properly. They clearly said they are having dns problems, there was a host fix for this but now the server is completely down, because theyre obviously getting the server fixed. kthxbb

Looking at srstats the capacity is now set to 3000 which is up from 2000 so I am guessing they added a gameserver .

Kinda useless as the server is offline. And why increase it to 3000 anyway? It wasn't even at 1000

Maybe they did add a gameserver which mightt not be useless, maybe eckoro considered some of the suggestions about making a new server with lower rates lower cap bla bla. u know We will see i guess.

Haha, speaking of Dead Island, last night discovered it on my HDD. I didn't think I downloaded it. I saw the ISO thinking, hmmm... probably just left over from when I was intending to download it. But low and behold, it is the full ISO. I'll give a spin later this weekend.

So it seems like this server isnt gonna open anytime soon, if ever again. Im a bit sad that eckoro hasnt said anything the past 3 days. I feel sorry for those whom donated. I think Zelos has found its end on my side. Thanks for the nice time though. Im gonna play Silkroad Salvation

It's is 'payday' for the servers. I just got back from Weymouth (over end of the country), due to some funeral stuff so been partly offline, sorry about that. I have the money and partly some from donation, but honestly I need to re-assess whether this is sustainable, since we are not going to make enough income on current awesome setup to keep us all playing it. There isnt a huge mass playing legit based servers, we don't want to increase the rates and completely change our morals to get interest. So it's in thought at the moment. If not I am happy to return the donations, they are a big help, but unfortunately looking at the rate of increase in players it wouldn't be big enough.

Since there is so many servers now, having a big awesome server is not possible anymore. Setting higher XP rates does get you players, although why would they need to donate for anything? So again those are unsustainable.

Most servers host with one server, but that means they are pretty crap in the amount of regions they can hold and players, so again pointless.

Also other note on the DNS I managed to contact them, but I need to send some forms to department, which is just a pain and long winded since I don't have scanner, would have to borrow friends.

Well its a non-profit server but silks is designed so it can just be covered, having a part time job still as student nearly 1/2 my wages to cover it. Which I did do for first month, unless there is change, I can't keep doing it on current income. There is not enough support in the growth of this server, Gratz to the lot that are helping, but vast majority who have no interest

I hope it too. I actually like Zelos more than Silkroad Salvation (all these "legit friendly" modifications are not really my thing tbh. And i'll definitely miss DW cave and the real 110 content. On Silkroad Salvation it's just "fake", because everything is different than on real SRO.

Unfortunately i am not really capable to donate on either of the servers right now, but if i could, i would rather support Zelos than Silkroad Salvation.

We might be able to do some minor changes so we can continue for a bit longer, but at the current rate we just don't have enough members to sustain the server. It is indeed a non-profit server, but we need donations to keep it running. The same will happen with silkroad salvation, they got around 500$ in donations now, but the next month they'll need to pay their bills again, and most people will only donate once thus they won't be able to survive for more than one month. However we can do some small changes to make it more popular, and find another way to fund this and make it economically viable. I really hope we can do the latter, but only time will tell.

Also because it's setup like a donation and not a payment, I don't think we can even dispute the payment if Eckoro refuses to give us a refund.

I can not give you an answer on that, you should ask eckoro. But I'm fairly sure he'll refund it to you if you -really- want.
