You're correct, 'soon' in Zelos terms means 2 years and above.
I haven't seen doom for a week, I haven't heard of any progress, eckoro is hardly around, etc.
As far as I'm aware progress is at a standstill for the time being.
Unless doom is working without informing anybody of his work.

To be quite honest from what I witnessed in the CB sessions is that there is quite a long time left before release.
OB could easily be launched before Christmas, that depends solely on how the team works and how many more bugs occur while fixing the other ones.
(Correcting a bug has been leading to more bugs lately from what I noticed in CB.)

I did remember mentioning this kind of Time frame at the beginning of summer, I don't know why many people were thinking that esro would be out anytime before that, I mean just based on how the things were going with the betas timewise it was obvious that it was going to at least gonna take that long. . .now I think it might take longer based on what Rawr just said.

Realistically though, once guild wars 2 comes out next year, it really might be too late to bring people to zelos, besides the turks that probably cant afford it anyway. yeah some people might think differently but if Area net delivers on their promises, That game is just gonna be a black hole, dragging games in from everywhere, ESPECIALLY from a game that may just be finishing beta with only half the classes available and a long grind(yeah I know what zelos is aiming for buts its still a LONG grind and the community at large is frankly getting SICK of grindy games period.) and I fear by the time this actually comes out, most people will just be sick of grind over and over and will go to Guild wars two Or the other game after it (forgot the name right now, but you are supposed to be able to use a controller for it etc etc) but seriously if you guys wait too long, its just going to be dead before you ever get anything going, hell, even if you guys made the exp rate super high it might not be enough really. I dont know but Im pretty sure (although people on srf wont admit it) that people are just about sick of grindy games like silkroad.

The long you guys take, the harder it will be to build a nice stable community, yeah you guys said that you dont want that many people, but everyone knows that you need to have a DECENT population for an mmorpg to work, So the longer you guys take, the easier it will be for the players waiting to outgrow silkroad and when you finally get your project done, most people will have moved on (. . .or died haha)

Not trying to pressure you but Im really expressing what I know most people are deep down feeling about this project but aren't really saying anything. Its ok though, cause Im immune to internet flames (I got a lvl 9999999 internet flame shield, I just use cells cheat code of clicking the red X at the top right of the computer screen when I see retarded people)

Anyway, people move on eventually, it would be a get a good idea to speed the project up and get people before they do, a lot of good games are on the Horizon( not just Guild wars two) and after this first new wave of games come out that revolutionize the Mmo market thats been overdue for an overhaul of design which Guild wars Two and other games are promising, Games like Silk road and other Korean type mmos are going to be left behind in the dust, not to mention the various copy-cats of that new game design style that is coming.

The new wave is coming, and I fear you guys are gonna be left behind.

I don't think Zelos will be out this year or next year, I think it will come out when npcdoom decides to stop developing it and release the source which will be in the next 10 years.

@Atibu, I am online a bit, due to timezones and my job I'm not online when you're online much.
I have been simply asking others on the progress, if there has been any.
I stopped logging onto the forums and such due to it being more dead than usual.
I wasn't even aware that was possible.

@Bananaman I second all of that. Zelos had a great and active community a year or so ago, the more time that goes by the less people you see who are interested. Realistically at this rate by the time Zelos is released it will be forgotten, completely, especially since it will be set up with 1x rates for 60 cap.

'Til OB/release I'm done following this project if it even sparks my interest by then.

You know, with eSRO/Zelos i have seen this many times, coders leaving without saying anything or leaving for a while.
website designers, coders all are leaving quiet,
I just hope the project will continue anytime soon because some people here are right about the more time.. the less interest.
