Other SRO versions

Hi

Can someone please give me an overview of all versions of SRO (Including Private server. I saw there is a new version, the rusian one) with there Cons and Pro's and website.

This might be handy to be set as a Sticky.
There are so many versions and i really don't know which to choose.

cons: -Emu crashes
-Alot force tree doesnt work

ZSZC:

pros: -pretty much lag free
-100cap - 100skills, soon to be 105
-big English community
-lots of events


cons: -traffic can be bad
-botters everywhere


SWsro:

pros: -120cap - 110skills, most updated private server to this day
-server is just full, so u can login in a few minutes


cons: -both servers are p2p (5$)
-it's pretty laggy (they promised a new server host soon)
-there is a big Turkish community
-there are more scammers than honest ppl, because u can't pay more than 100m (SwSRO staff promised bronze coins tho)
-botting is allowed
-almost no events


Zelos:

pros: -

cons: -under construction

SJsro:

pros: -well it's the old server client so it's pretty much stable

cons: -high traffic
-almost everyone bots
-no updates & no events
-pvp is practically never done anymore
-loads of turks & arabics


MYsro:

pros: -old server client, so stable
-low server traffic


cons: -p2play
-and pretty much the same disadvantages as SjSRO, so I suggest not to play these 2


VSRO:

pros: -

KSRO:

pros: -

CSRO:

pros: -

RSRO:

pros: -100cap
-lots of events, like a 2x exp/sp event during some times of the day
-they ban bots on a daily basis
-there is in fact a english-speaking community, international ppl are allowed
-servers are populated (sometimes crowded but still in on 1st try)


cons: -there still are a lot of botters
-they ban ppl who don't have russian names
-it's still an official silkroad so don't expect fast lvling, even with 2x exp


ISRO:

pros: -

cons: -

I did some research and i couldn't find a site of your server. It might be usefull to create a blog for your server, this way it'll be way easier to recruit new players.

got really bored again
and the massive amount of douche bags in pvp zone keeps increasing by the day
and next to that allot of ppl i love playing with are also quiting or they already gave up on the server
the trafic is bad and the bots have reached never be4 seen amounts.

I understand your frustration but if this is the is bots you should not play any version of sro. As for the amounts they have been dropping.

How about you guys enforcing your so called ''policy'' which was promised at the start of the server. If that was the case, people wouldn't need to quit. I already gave up on the server because I seriously couldn't be arsed logging in for more than 30 minutes. Not to mention the countless bots running around everywhere, I couldn't even grind anymore without getting ks'd every 2 mobs I tried to kill.

lol it should be clear by now that banning bots on sro is not as easy as it looks. Just look at the great number of companies that already gave up on trying to ban their bots:
iSRO was trying for a while but the waves of goldbots and playerbots just keep coming, and the bots are getting way too advanced so it's hard to detect them.
rSRO is still giving signs of banning bots, but bots keep coming, since there's an international bot that's easy to use, so basically everyone uses it, and they can only be detected by GM patrol.
For other official versions there's even the possibility to legally bot after lvl70 (I believe it's kSRO?), so the company even earns money by doing that. If you can't avoid it, earn money by it, seems to be the company's policy.
ECSRO was a version that seemed to hold the botters to a stop. But there wasn't a good bot out there at the time so.. it wasn't worth it.
Then an advanced bot came out for private servers, and they got flooded by bots, SwSRO, MySRO, SjSRO made botting legal, ZSZC is the only one out there that holds a policy against bots, but it's just to hard to hold the waves of bots that seem to keep coming out of nowhere.
If big companies can't hold bots, how should a small group of GMs do it?

I think it's a pity that bots are taking over silkroad, but there's not much to do about it, the original sro server files are way too familiar to crackers and developers.
That's why I hope that an emulator will bring the solution, you can easily create a anti-bot system so it will be hard to build bots based on that emulator, and when they've created it, it will be detected anyway.

You can put loaded with bots for every version except maybe vsro.

Csro
Cons: You can buy SOM items 6-9d for really cheap prices
Buy 10d sos items for cheap prices.
You can buy a certain amount of sp (they decide for you).
Silk items tradable.
Its got a fair amount of events.
Most chinese players are friendly.
A lot of free plvl
Some party play after lvl70
No goldbots/crowded servers 24/7

Cons:
There is an inflation
Can't buy x-large pots from potion lady
SOX items aren't much worth


Also botting is allowed after lvl70 it can be a con or a pro depending on the person.

HE posted that if its bots that get you agnr you should not play any versions of sro, which is pretty much true. Vsro had a 5hour lvling limit IIRC so thats the only version I imagine people can be legit on.

ZSZC has a 105cap now and a new pro is that it has the most updated extras imo..
SwSRO just has its 120cap up and running but nothing more.
